The earliest contact with Land Rover began in 2005, when the first generation Range Rover Sport Edition was launched, and the 4.4-liter V8 was installed on it. After many technical upgrades and performance improvements, it has gradually become the main power system of Land Rover's large car series. Both the 4.4-liter NA and 4.0-liter supercharged models are made of all-aluminum alloy, which has the characteristics of light weight and strong rigidity. Many parts in the engine, such as piston, connecting rod, valve and crankshaft, are made of aluminum alloy, and all of them are polished, which greatly reduces the running inertia and friction resistance and makes the engine run lighter and quieter.

Unfortunately, its fuel consumption is high, even at high speed, the cruising range will not exceed 460km, which led me to finally give up it and buy 3.0T instead? Discovery 4 of V6 is an important reason, but if I have to choose again, I will not hesitate to choose Discovery 4 of V8 because it is unique. Of course, this car can still be found in the second-hand market, but the price is very firm and extremely rare.

Having said so much about two 5.0 models? V8 gasoline engine, in fact, what I liked best at that time was a 3.0-liter diesel engine launched by Land Rover, which was a perfect match with a large luxury SUV.
