Hailing Island was selected into China’s top ten treasure islands with the reputation of “No. 1 in the South China Sea and the Silk Road Waterway”; it was rated as the “Pearl of the South China Sea” and “the perfect combination of sunshine, beach and sea water”. One of the ten most beautiful islands. Hailing Island, one of the top ten most beautiful islands in China and one of the top ten treasure islands in China, has always been desirable.

But when I actually arrived on Hailing Island, I was confused because I found that the serviced apartment I had booked before was located in Baoli District, seven or eight kilometers away from the central area of ??Hailing Island. If I don't have a car, I can only take a bus to Xiapo Town, Dajiao Bay and Chefeng. However, the bus system in Baoli District is underdeveloped. There is only bus No. 31, but this bus generally runs once an hour.

In addition, you can only use Didi or ride-hailing, so it is recommended that if you don’t drive yourself, try to arrange a hotel in Xiapo Town.

As a tourist, my impression of the Hailing Island scenic spot is divided into three parts: the ten-mile silver beach formed by Evergrande Agile Poly, the Dajiao Bay area (central area), and of course a mangrove wetland garden.

This is just a rough schematic diagram, but it can be seen from this schematic diagram that these places are actually very far away. If you don’t drive by yourself, it would still be troublesome to finish the tour in one go!

In addition, since the mangroves are not in the same direction as Poly, Evergrande and Xiapo, I knew nothing about them before going this time, so I won’t say more about them here for the time being.

Let’s talk about my actual travel experience first!

If you are traveling by car, needless to say, it is very convenient anyway. There are still many parking lots on the island, but not every tourist has the conditions to drive by himself, especially people like me who are traveling from other provinces and have no way to drive, or who don’t know how to drive at all. what do I do?

Of course Didi is possible, and hitchhiking is also feasible! After all, the island is not particularly big, so if you have a car, about two days will be enough!

But there are always some people who can’t drive and don’t like taking taxis. So, for this situation, I will share my suggestions based on my personal experience.

If you are traveling as a family and it is inconvenient to go back and forth, you can book a hotel or B&B not far from the seaside in advance online, and then start the "staycation" mode!

In general, Poly Silver Beach, Evergrande, and Agile all have their own sea-view apartments and coastlines, which are more suitable for tourists who are married with children. Most of these places are serviced apartments where you can cook your own meals, so you can consider these places if you are traveling as a family.

Relatively speaking, I recommend Poly Silver Beach, mainly because it developed earlier and has more complete facilities. There are markets and convenience stores nearby. If you don’t plan to go anywhere else, you can find an apartment in Poly to “stay” for a few days!

The weather on Hailing Island was not good this time. It rained every day and basically never saw the sun.

Because my old father loves to take pictures, just staying in one place cannot satisfy his requirements, so we went to Dajiao Bay, which is equivalent to the central area of ??Hailing (at least that’s what I think). On the Dajiao Bay side, there are also beautiful beaches and sea views. More importantly, the sand and water quality here are better than those at Shili Silver Beach.

At the same time, the food, accommodation and transportation here are much more convenient than Shili Silver Beach, so if a family travels, or a few friends come to play, but don’t want to cook by themselves and don’t know how to drive, Dajiao Bay is almost the best place to go. Good choice.

At the same time, there are also battery cars for rent here. If you don’t have a car, you can ride a battery scooter to visit nearby Mawei Island and Beiluo. It needs to be reminded that Mawei Island is a good place to watch the sunset, but it is now closed for maintenance and the traffic in Beiluo is a problem, so if you want to go to Beiluo, it is best to drive by yourself or "ride your beloved scooter".

If you have a big family and want to cook by yourself and enjoy the sea view, you can consider Poly and Heng near Shili Silver Beach. Daba and Agile, because they mainly make serviced apartments, I personally prefer Poly, mainly because it developed earlier and has relatively complete surrounding facilities.

If you want to visit more, get together with a few friends, or are photography enthusiasts like my old father, I suggest you consider the Dajiao Bay area, where transportation and food are more convenient. In addition, it also includes attractions such as Dajiao Bay, Sea Paradise, Luozhou Park, Windmill Mountain, Fangsheng Terrace, Seaview Boardwalk, Ice and Snow World, etc. The scenic spots are relatively concentrated, and it is more convenient to go to Beiluo or Mawei Island from here.
