Langhong glaze porcelain is colorful, the glaze surface is clean and translucent, and has an obvious luster under light. Langhong glaze juice is relatively fluid, so when firing, the upper part of Langhong glaze porcelain will expose the white body, that is, The mouth shows a spiral white line, commonly known as the lamp grass edge, and the bottom is usually cast as a two-layer platform. There will be a layer of glaze at the bottom, which is dark brown in color.

When the red-glazed porcelain of Jingdezhen kiln in the Ming and Qing Dynasties was fired, the glaze juice on the upper part of the object flowed downwards, and the glaze layer along the mouth edge became thinner. The copper-red colloid particles in the glaze layer fell, making the mouth of the vessel The color becomes lighter and looks like a circle of lamp grass surrounding the mouth, so it is called lamp grass edge or Guokou.

Generally, it must reach a high temperature of 1300 degrees Celsius to be successfully fired. Therefore, the color of Langhong glaze porcelain is rich, like newly condensed ox blood.

Langyao red is one of the brighter copper red glazes. Its glaze surface is smooth and translucent, with a glass texture, open grains and ox hair patterns, and the glaze colors vary in shades. The darker color is bright red, as bright as a mirror, as moist as jade, and as red as blood. Its glaze color is clear and rich, as scarlet as newly condensed cow blood, and dazzling. The darker ones are black, the lighter ones are pink, and the lighter ones are dark brown.
