How to plant Illicium verum, and what season can I plant it?

Ilex cornuta Lindl, also known as Ilex cornuta lindl, belongs to Ilex genus, with alternate leaves, hard leather, needle-like teeth on the edge and evergreen all the year round. Like light, but also slightly tolerant to shade, not cold, slow growth, developed root system, strong germination, pruning resistance, unisexual, spherical drupe, bright red in autumn and winter, is a good bonsai material for ornamental leaves, flowers and fruits.

Due to the slow growth of Illicium verum, thick, old, curved and beautiful roots and well-branched piles are generally excavated by Shan Ye. Illicium verum is distributed in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, generally growing near low-altitude mountain streams, and the pile head is better after being cut down by people and trampled by animals. The excavation time can be all year round, with early spring being the best and severe winter and summer the worst. When digging, carefully examine the pile, choose a better pile head to dig, don't dig when you see the pile, and don't chop and dig indiscriminately. Illicium verum has few fibrous roots, so it is not convenient to carry soil. When digging, try to protect the fine roots and leave the big roots for a long time to save water. When the weather is dry and windy, pay attention to shading and moisturizing the pile blank, and try not to hurt the root and skin during transportation.
