2. Buy a second-hand camera

Playing photography, it is better to start with SLR. For a novice's first camera, I strongly recommend starting with a second-hand camera. Because I am a beginner, I actually don't know which direction to go in the future. For example, I may like taking portraits, so I need some fixed-focus lenses. If I like shooting scenery, I need some wide-angle lenses. Only when you have tried it, can I know what I like best and what I am good at.

3. Buy a zoom lens first

Zoom lenses are generally cheaper. Multi-focal segments can try different uses of focal segments, then find the focal segment that suits them, and then focus on fixed-focus lenses to pursue higher results.

4. Don't pursue the original lens unilaterally.

The quality of the original lens is good, and the price is high, while the deputy lens can achieve more than 80% effect with less than half the price, which is still very good from the cost performance point of view. What's more, some deputy factory lenses are not lost to the original factory.

5. No novelty, no high-end camera.

Although the camera is not a fast-selling product, it also has a certain update cycle. The beginning of new products is often the most expensive time. When the output comes up, or when faced with the next update, the price will drop.

As long as the camera has enough functions, we don't need to spend too much money on some rarely used functions. For example, Canon's EOS R5 focuses on 8K video shooting, but there are very few people and needs who can really shoot 8K. One EOS R or R6 is enough. The price is even less than half.
