What do Puyang City and Puyang County mean?

Puyang City is one of the seventeen prefecture-level cities under the jurisdiction of Henan Province, and Puyang County is one of the five counties and two districts under the jurisdiction of Puyang City. The two levels are different, one is at the prefecture level and the other is at the county level; the jurisdictions are different. Puyang City manages five counties and two districts, while Puyang County manages the county area. Puyang City and Puyang County used to be integrated and belonged to the Anyang area. Due to the development and construction of Zhongyuan Oilfield, Puyang City was established in 1983 with the approval of the State Council.
