Mode of thinking or method of thinking

Ok ... I think by leaps and bounds most of the time. This is not a way of thinking, but a way of thinking.

Simply put, the key lies in "image" and "jumping". The opposite nature is "abstraction" and "logic".

It's not hard to understand. Thinking about abstract things with logical thinking is the way of thinking of philosophers. The reason is that philosophy does not seek the breakthrough of human knowledge, but the induction and generalization of the whole knowledge system. This breakthrough stems from the analysis of contradictions and insight into the whole. The complex thinking level leads to abstract concepts and related descriptions, and the logic opposite to contradiction (causality) is the only tool for philosophy to advance.

Theoretical physics is a little different. Although logic is still the cornerstone, when physicists seek theoretical breakthroughs, the usual two methods: intuitive method (intellectuality) and empirical method (rationality) will adopt completely opposite ways of thinking. Admittedly, in most cases, these two methods are combined. For example, when Einstein scratched his head with a pen to write Maxwell's equation, he used the experience of his predecessors, and he had to use reason to integrate his personal understanding of the universe. This kind of understanding is gradually formed in life, so-called intellectuality.

This is a question of personal thinking. Without the experience of predecessors, Einstein's classmates could not directly think by leaps and bounds. However, thinking in images is the most effective way of individual thinking, which depends on jump analysis in the self-understanding system. Image makes the essence of things clearly emerge, and jumping is an important link to discover potential relevance. When you think about what you are thinking from a seemingly unrelated thing, you have caught the connection that was neglected in your subconscious mind before. Therefore, for a highly active and intelligent brain, the advantage of thinking in images is that it can quickly explore potential contradictions and breakthroughs by recalling and comparing a large number of deeply understood basic concepts and form a large-scale macro-thinking body.

In addition, as far as my personal experience is concerned, this way of thinking can constantly explore a person's inner inspiration (different from external inspiration-the response to novel environmental stimuli), and this inspiration is usually very mature and intriguing, because it has been washed by the subconscious for a long time and has undergone many changes and precipitation under many external stimuli. Therefore, this moment of inspiration for generate (sometimes just an idea) is usually the happiest moment in your life, because you have unconsciously achieved the biggest breakthrough in your self-thinking.

If you want to cultivate this way of thinking, you might as well try to remove all the thinking restrictions, gradually deepen your understanding of things, and read a lot of books at the same time. In this way, your macro thinking speed should be accelerated rapidly and your intuition will become more and more accurate.

This is only the first step.
