In short, from the perspective of sculpture art, compared with similar works in the Tang Dynasty, Song Ling stone carvings are inherently deficient in fullness and solidity in appearance, but they are even more decadent in spiritual vitality, making it difficult to give people endless beauty. However, if this kind of works in the middle and late Tang Dynasty are compared with the better statues in Song Ling, the former is not as good as the latter, which shows that the carving art level of the prosperous Tang Dynasty is far from that of the late Tang Dynasty, and it also shows that there are masters beyond the average level in each era.
