Among them, there are 42 first-class universities (36 in Class A and 6 in Class B) and 95 first-class disciplines.

According to industry experts' analysis, the official announcement of the list of "Double First-class" universities and construction disciplines not only means the new attempt and exploration of education in China under the background of education reform in the new era, but also means that education in China has taken a historic step and entered a new stage.

Although we also had 985 engineering colleges and 2 1 1 engineering colleges before, I think this "double-class" construction college is still different from it. The construction of "double first-class" colleges and universities is another national strategy of China's higher education after "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project". "Double First-class" construction is not a copy of "Project 2 1 1" and "Project 985", nor an upgraded version, nor a cottage version. This is a brand-new plan.
