When Jin Xiaotong was a child, Mr. Jin Peizhang insisted that Jin Xiaotong, who was only 14 years old at that time, learn the firing technique of Jun porcelain small carbon furnace with his own simple thought of "having a fertile land and a thousand hectares at home". At that time, Jin Xiaotong went to school during the day, and after school, he helped his father to burn a small furnace Jun kiln and do a furnace glaze test.

In Jin Xiaotong's view, without this precious learning opportunity, it would be impossible to engage in Jun porcelain art creation later. Whenever this matter is mentioned, what Jin Xiaoyun often says is: the teacher is deeply indebted. In the process of Jin Xiaotong's growth, he has been cared for by many experts and leaders. While appreciating Jin Xiaotong's Jun porcelain works, President Yang Zhihai of China Light Industry Association wrote a preface for his ceramic monograph. Yang Zipeng, president of China Arts and Crafts Society, showed great care for Jin Jun porcelain. He strongly recommended it to the participants in the Hong Kong International Ceramic Art Competition and wrote the name of the factory for him personally.

In April 23, Jin Jia Jun Kiln Studio was established. In the same year, he was elected as the director of China Ceramic Industry Association. Jin Xiaotong devoted himself to the cultural accumulation and research of contemporary and ancient ceramic art in addition to the artistic creation of Jun porcelain.
