[My Understanding of War] My Views and Cognition of War

Do I know what war is?

For me, the most direct perception of war comes from the shocking war scenes in the film. Although we live in a peaceful era, the influence of these images on us, whether sensory or spiritual, is still strong and shocking.

What exactly is war? I think it can be defined from multiple dimensions. As we have seen in Nanking and flowers of war, the Japanese army's inhuman bullying and bullying of the people of China is an indisputable unjust war of aggression. On the contrary, our soldiers and civilians rose up to resist aggression, and the war against aggression must be a just war of self-defense. From the point of view of using cold weapons or not, it can be divided into cold war and hot war. The hot war is a confrontation between armies, while the cold war is more a political and diplomatic confrontation. Whether it is a cold war or a hot war, the biggest victims are always innocent civilians.

War is undoubtedly the cruelest meat grinder, which has caused endless suffering, made people homeless and devastated the country. I remember a great scientist Einstein said, I don't know what weapons people used in World War III, but I know that World War IV used stones and sticks. What an ironic sentence! Once a person is keen on war, he will not only make enemies everywhere, but also make himself retrogress or even destroy himself. Then why fight?

But there are always some countries that don't think so. In Schindler's List, Nazi Germany's madness, despicable means and inhuman behavior made everyone cry. Thankfully, Germany conducted a thorough introspection after the war, swept away militarism and sincerely apologized to the Jews. Japan's behavior in World War II was even worse, but today, nearly 70 years later, the right-wingers are still stubborn and have no regard for the people of neighboring countries invaded by them.

Feeling. Challenge our endurance limits again and again, and provoke again and again. Our country pursues a foreign policy of peace because we are well aware of the danger of war. In the face of this situation, don't say anything rude to force a solution. No matter what kind of war, no matter what means, innocent civilians will always suffer the most. Peace is fundamental.
