Door Lock (2018)

Don’t let go of even a trace of details that you think are suspicious. Only by being brave can you save yourself.

An ordinary woman Jing Min (played by Kong Xiaozhen) lives alone, works in a bank and leads an ordinary single life. One day when he came home from get off work, he found that the password cover of the electronic lock on the door was open. Feeling suspicious, Jing Min changed the password. That night, she heard someone pressing her combination lock in an attempt to open the door. This frightened Jing Min so much that the police ignored her after calling the police.

One day while working at the bank, Jingmin was pestered by a customer, a perverted man named Kim Ki-jeong. He was often intercepted by Kim Ki-jeong after get off work and asked to date him. One day, Jingmin was intercepted by Kim Ki-jung again, but was rescued by his superior. Then the superior escorted Jingmin home. When Jingmin came back from shopping, he found that his superior had been killed. Now Jing Min couldn't sit still, and Detective Li decided to help Jing Min. Jing Min spent the whole day in panic, and finally couldn't sit still, so with the help of her friends, she decided to investigate alone.

During the investigation, Jingmin discovered that a man suspected of being Little A was torturing and killing a strange woman. During the escape process, Jingmin’s friend was injured in a fight with the man. Jingmin was frightened and later met a patrolling police officer. rescued. Later, Little A was arrested while pestering Jing Min, and the witnesses and physical evidence were complete. Jin Ji was imprisoned, and Jing Min also moved.

Just when everyone thought the incident was over, news came out that Jin Ji was killed. At this time, Jingmin realized that the real murderer was Han Dongxun, the manager of the previous apartment building.

Han Dongxun is a pervert. In fact, when Jingmin lived in the previous apartment, Han Dongxun hid in Jingmin's bed every day. After Jingmin fell asleep, he came out from under the bed and used drugs to stun Jingmin. He went to take a shower, then hugged Jingmin and fell asleep together. He would leave early before dawn. Jingmin was drugged and could not wake up from his sleep, so he never discovered that there was actually a room in his apartment. There lived a second person.

In her new home, Jingmin used her mobile phone to check the home camera given to her by Detective Li, and found that at this moment, Han Dongxun was hiding under the bed. The panicked Jing Min failed to run out of the room and was caught by Han Dongxun and taken to an abandoned hotel. Han Dongxun is going to slowly abuse Jingmin here until he dies. Detective Li couldn't contact Jing Min, so he tracked him here through city cameras. Jingmin escaped from the hotel room with wisdom and perseverance, but found that she could not find the exit. While Han Dongxun was searching for Jingmin, Detective Li arrived and fought with Han Dongxun. In the end, Han Dongxun killed Detective Li, and Jing Min also successfully killed Han Dongxun in the chaos and saved himself.

The entire plot is based on local materials and comes from social security incidents in South Korea. The plot is compact, tense, exciting and very depressing. The character Han Dongxun played by Lee Ji-seop is very perverted and twisted psychologically, making people hate him thoroughly but also feel a little scared. Kong Xiaozhen also successfully performed the role of Jingmin, who is suspicious, scared, helpless, disappointed, and finally forced to bravely fight. The whole plot is logical and reasonable. The color scheme, soundtrack and some of the more bloody scenes directly touch the soul and make people shudder, while the various incidents that Jingmin encounters directly torture South Korea's social problems and the conscience of human beings. After watching the entire movie, I felt that the whole movie was not good because it was too depressing and the theme was a bit heavy. Even if Jing Min successfully saved himself in the movie review, how many other people would encounter the same incident in reality, and how many people would be able to escape successfully?

South Korea has popularized automatic password locks, and it is not uncommon for strangers to press other people's passwords and try to enter other people's rooms, especially in some surveillance blind spots and less developed areas. So, a lot of people died for this, mostly women. The public security problems in Korean society and the evil mentality that men are superior to women are the direct causes of these incidents. I'm glad that the director put this kind of film on the screen and sounded the alarm for Korean society.

This film is suitable for people with stronger psychological tolerance to watch. It is not scary or thrilling in itself, but the depression from the film will make people feel powerless after watching it, because it is too realistic.
