Wind power generation is a simple way for human beings to use natural energy, which has played a positive role in saving coal resources. At present, wind power generation is very common in the world, for example, the United States, Germany, Spain, France, Italy and so on have built a large number of wind farms. Although wind power generation in China started late, it is now one of the countries that use wind power most in the world, and it has been closely following the United States. However, in recent years, people have some different views on wind power generation. These people think that wind power generation not only saves coal resources, but also has many hazards, especially in some special environments. To this end, some European and American countries have dismantled wind turbines in some areas. What's going on here? Is the wind turbine really so harmful?

First of all, we can say for sure that the overall advantages of wind power outweigh the disadvantages. Let's talk about the disadvantages of wind power generation.

1, the impact on bird habitat and migration. General wind farms are built one after another, and dozens of wind turbines occupy a huge area. Many wind power stations are built on the passage where birds move. Huge rotating blades pose a serious threat to birds and are not conducive to their protection.

2, affecting the health of surrounding residents. Large-scale wind power generation will produce strong electromagnetic radiation, coupled with endless low-frequency noise, which will affect people's physical and mental health.

3. Impact on climate. As the name implies, wind power generation is to use wind energy to intercept wind power, "push" the blades of the generator to rotate and drive the generator to generate electricity. Wind is an important means to regulate climate. Most of the wind energy is converted into mechanical energy, which will inevitably affect climate regulation and bring about climate change under unnatural conditions.

4. Affect the vegetation coverage. The construction of wind farm needs to cut down and clean up a lot of vegetation, destroy forest resources and cause soil erosion. I participated in the construction of some wind farms in Dalian. Most of the wind farms in Dalian are built on islands, such as Dachangshan Island, Xiaochangshan Island and Zhangzi Island. There are not many residents in these islands, and the construction of wind farms is basically far from residential areas, which has little impact on people.

The land on the island is barren and there is not much vegetation, so the wind farm on the island has little impact on vegetation. Coupled with the particularity of the island environment, there are generally not so many disadvantages. But the impact on birds is hard to say, I hope it won't be great.
