What is "ham" and what is the origin of "ham"?

Ham was founded in the Jianyan period of the Song Dynasty and has a history of more than 870 years. According to legend, when Zongze, the famous anti-golden general, returned to his hometown to visit relatives, people in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, salted pork legs to work for the army. Zongze dedicated the salted pork legs to the emperor. Emperor Gaozong thought that the cut meat was crimson and like fire, so he named it "ham".
