At the age of 65, he went to Medog, turned to Shenshan, and rode five roads into Tibet. Young people are ashamed!

This is Zouba.com's 89th unique traveler story.

Guest of this issue: Lao Huang

Lao Huang, whose net name is Bison, is from Guilin, Guangxi, and now lives in Pingxiang, Jiangxi. Born in 1954, 1969, after graduating from junior high school, he went to the countryside to jump the queue for 2 years. Unemployed after returning to the city 1 year, and then worked as a boiler worker for 6 years. 1978 after the resumption of the college entrance examination, I was admitted to the university for 4 years, worked for 2 years after graduation, studied in graduate school for 2 years, worked in China for 2 years, and then studied abroad at my own expense.

He is keen on outdoor activities, such as cycling, hiking, mountain climbing and going upstream. After the age of 59, he rode five routes into Tibet, climbed many famous peaks at home and abroad, and hiked the famous routes at home and abroad such as ABC, EBC, Medog and Gangrinboqi in Nepal. Even young people are ashamed of themselves.

Q 1: Hello, Brother Huang, I'm glad you could make an appointment with us. Speaking of which, it's really a coincidence to know you. In the 84th issue, we interviewed Sister Xiao Bingbie who rode the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. A friend left a message saying that your experience was extraordinary. After we got to know each other, we found that your experience was really awesome. You are over 60 years old, and you still ride various routes into Tibet, turn to the holy mountain and take Medog.

Hello everyone! I am Lao Huang, born in 1954, and I am 65 years old. I come from Guilin, Guangxi. My usual life is simpler. My favorite hobby is riding and hiking in nature. From 20 12, I rode many famous routes at home and abroad, such as Sichuan-Tibet, Qinghai-Tibet, Yunnan-Tibet, -Chahar and Xinzang, and completed Medog.

I love nature, and I love the outdoors more. I enjoyed it after retirement. My age has been gradually ignored by me. I am more concerned about my next destination, and I hope to constantly challenge myself.

Q2: Can you tell us your main routes of cycling and walking in recent years? Are you riding alone or in a group?

20 12 bought a mountain bike. I was 59 years old, and my purpose was to ride the southern Sichuan-Tibet line. In order to achieve this goal, I made a training trip. Riding from Pingxiang, Jiangxi to Guilin, Guangxi, the round trip is nearly 1000 km. It took six days, and the average daily riding distance was nearly 150 km. I feel good about myself. I think I can still ride.

May 20 13, I spent 28 days riding the southern line of Sichuan-Tibet line from Chengdu to Lhasa, and then flew to Nepal to hike the world-famous ABC line. When I returned to Lhasa, I stopped at the base camp on the northern slope of Mount Everest at an altitude of more than 5,200 meters.

April 20 15, set out from Guilin, rode to Baise, Guangxi, and then rode along the Nanning-Kunming line to Kunming. After taking the train to Lijiang, I rode the Yunnan-Tibet line from Lijiang to Lhasa.

I also finished some hiking this time, including Tiger Leaping Gorge and Rain Collapse in Jinsha River, Yunnan, and hiking in Medog, Tibet.

After arriving in Lhasa, I didn't stop, but rode to Yecheng along the National Highway 2 19 Xinzang Line, which is the highest and hardest route. It took me about 40 days to reach Yecheng, Xinjiang.

Similarly, when riding the New Tibet Line and passing through Pulan County, it took me two days to complete the transfer of Rinpoche Mountain in Ganggang.

May 20 16, set out from Dali, rode through Nujiang River to Bingzhongluo, and took Bingzhongluo Line to Chayu. Unfortunately, because the bicycle rim was worn out by brake pads, it could not be repaired locally, so we had to take a bus to Lhasa.

I rested in Lhasa for a day or two, mainly after repairing the car, and spent another month riding the Qinghai-Tibet line from Lhasa to Xining. This route is high in altitude and windy, so it is not easy to ride.

On March 20 17, I spent 1 1 day riding on the west coast of Taiwan Province Island, starting from Danshui, passing through Taichung, Tainan, Gulangyu, Taitung and Hualien, all the way back to Danshui, and the journey was over 1000 km.

From June to September, 2007, I rode from Qiqihar, passed through Hailar and Manzhouli to Mohe, then along the border of Heilongjiang, crossed Xiaoxing 'anling to Changbai Mountain, and finally rode to Dalian, completing the cycling around Northeast China.

From the middle of February 20 17 to the end of February 20 18, I spent two months riding in four Southeast Asian countries: Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

From mid-October 20 18 10 to mid-October18 10, I went hiking on the EBC line in Nepal, and went to the observation deck of Chukunli Peak at an altitude of 5,550 meters, the observation deck of Kara partal at an altitude of 5,545 meters and the south of Mount Everest at an altitude of 5,364 meters.

20 19 In March, I spent another 10 day riding Hainan Island from the west coast to the east coast, passing through Haikou, Lingao, Dongfang, Sanya, Qiongzhong and Wenchang.

The above is my main riding experience, except for four countries in Southeast Asia, Taiwan Province Island and Hainan Island, the rest are basically done by myself.

In addition to the above-mentioned famous routes, I have also climbed Mount Fuji, the second peak in Japan, Beiyue, Suigaoyue, the third peak in Japan, and the fourth peak in Japan. The first peak in Jiangxi is Huanggang Mountain, the second is vertical peak, the third is Yun Qi, the fourth is Nanfeng, the fifth is Wugong Mountain, the eighth is Yuqing Mountain Yujing Peak, the fifth is Jiulingtou in Jiu Feng, and the tenth is Junfeng Mountain. The first peak in Hunan is Mao Feng, and the second peak is called "Hunan K2". Niubi and Bazhai in Danxia Mountain, Guangdong Province, Maoershan, which is known as the "first peak in South China" in Guangxi, and so on.

This is my main riding and hiking experience in the past seven years. Of course, there are some outdoor activities nearby, so I won't go into details.

Q3: Are you 65 years old? When did you begin to like cycling, hiking, mountain climbing and river climbing, which seem to require age and physical support?

I am 65 years old. I have been riding the Sichuan-Tibet line since I was 59 years old. If possible, I want to try to ride a long distance to 70 years old. My experience in outdoor activities over the years tells me that age is not an obstacle. As long as I am healthy and have a young heart, I dare to think and do it. Age is not a problem.

Physical strength is not the most important thing. You can ride slowly if you are not physically strong. You can get off and push in places where riding is difficult. You can ride mountain roads from slow to fast, from flat roads to hills, from short distance to long distance, from low altitude to high altitude, and gradually adapt to your body. So is rock climbing. The big deal is to gradually adapt and constantly challenge yourself.

What do I think is the most important thing in cycling and hiking? Is the will, is to have a firm belief. There is no turning back arrow before opening the bow, and I will not stop until I reach my goal. Of course, this is also based on ensuring the safety of life. Our generation has suffered a lot, and at the same time, it has developed an iron will. Every time we ride a bike or walk, we just have the idea that we won't stop until we reach our goal. In fact, I have ridden the Sichuan-Tibet line, the New Tibet line and walked Medog in China. I think the rest of the routes are basically a cinch.

Q4: After riding so many famous routes, which one impressed you the most? Are there any stories on the road worth remembering forever?

The most impressive thing is probably the new Tibet line, especially the 250-kilometer section from Songxi Village in Ritu County, Tibet to Dahongliutan in Xinjiang. It is a famous no-man's land and high-altitude area on the New Tibet Line. After starting from Songxi Village, the whole no-man's land has an altitude of more than 5,000 meters, and there are four Daban (mountain pass) with an altitude of more than 5,000 meters: Songxi Daban, Hongtu Daban, Jieshan Daban and Qitai.

Among them, red earth Daban is the highest national highway in the world: 5378 meters above sea level, followed by Jieshan Daban, which borders Xinjiang and Tibet, with an altitude of 5340 meters and Qitai Daban, with an altitude of 5 130 meters. There is also a famous dead ditch (now called Quanshui Lake) in the middle. There are no families and herders in the whole no-man's land, and occasionally there are exploration teams and cars at the prospecting point. Riding this high-altitude section is one of the biggest challenges I have encountered in all my cycling experiences. It's really hard. It is recommended not to ride alone. Even if you have to, you should prepare dry food, drinking water and tents for three days.

Q5: You have ridden five routes into Tibet, namely, Sichuan-Tibet, Xinjiang-Tibet, Yunnan-Tibet, iced tea and Qinghai-Tibet. In terms of difficulty, which do you think is the most difficult and which is the easiest? In terms of excitement, which route do you recommend to ride to Tibet?

Let's just say that the five kinds of fishing lines have their own characteristics and cannot be generalized. There are 4 high mountains 14 along the Sichuan-Tibet line, including 2 high mountains 12 over 4000m and 2 high mountains over 5000m.

The new Tibet line has the highest altitude, passing through the red soil Daban at an altitude of more than 5,300 meters, which is also the highest national road in the world, and there is a no-man's land with a minimum altitude of more than 5,000 meters and a length of more than 250 kilometers.

The Yunnan-Tibet Railway has a long mountain road, and the Baimang Snow Mountain has a continuous uphill slope of 40 kilometers, and the slope is steep. The continuous uphill of Hongla Snow Mountain is daunting. I rode from 7: 30 in the morning to 5: 00 in the afternoon before reaching the mountain pass. Of course, young people may be faster if they are in better health.

There are many landslides in ice forks, poor road conditions, few people on the road and few passing vehicles. It is difficult to ask for help under any circumstances. The Qinghai-Tibet line has a high average altitude, many carts pass by, strong headwinds, and it is difficult to ride.

Riding five routes into Tibet can be said to have their own difficulties, so from the difficulty point of view, these five routes into Tibet are not very good to compare, from the wonderful degree, in fact, each has its own wonderful. However, as the first ride, most people will still choose the southern Sichuan-Tibet line. After all, this is the scenic avenue of China people, and the scenery along the way is very rich and varied, which is really worth riding. But now there are more and more tunnels and many passes disappear.

Q6: What is the most difficult route? Why is this the most difficult route? Have you ever given up on the road?

The most difficult hiking route is probably Medog. During the 3-4 days' trip, I will climb over the snow-capped mountains, cross the virgin forests, and pass through landslide areas, grasshopper areas and debris flow areas. Every day is no man's land, no supplies. There is no choice but to eat some hot food in a humble inn sooner or later. There was a lot of rain in Medog, and the road was muddy all the way. In the virgin forest, rotten leaves have no feet. Stepping on the water is a foot deep, and the shoes are wet during the whole hike.

In the most dangerous place, a week ago, we fell into the river under the cliff alone. The river flows into the Yarlung Zangbo River downstream and flows to India after leaving the country, so it is very likely that even the body can't be found. It's really a pity, so taking Medog ranks first among the top ten hiking routes in China.

Although the route is hard, the conditions are bad and the risks are frequent, I have never thought of giving up. After all, I have come to challenge this route and made full psychological preparation. How can you just give up?

Question 7: You once turned to Rinpoche, a sacred mountain. This is the dream of many outdoor lovers. Let alone how many wishes can be realized by asking for help from the holy mountain. Can you tell me what your biggest gain is?

Gangrinboqi is the main peak of Gangdise Mountain, which is recognized as a sacred mountain in the world. It is also recognized as the world center of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, Bonism and ancient Jainism. For many people, especially the pilgrims from Tibet, India and Nepal, this is extremely sacred and their lifelong dream. It is said that a circle around Gangrinpoche can wash away all their sins. Ten times around the mountain can save you from hell in 500 cycles; In this life, turn mountains into buddhas.

However, for me, it doesn't have much religious significance for Gang Rinpoche to cross the mountain. It happens to be the highest altitude among many hiking routes, but I don't have much altitude sickness, and I feel the difficulty is ok. I walked down in two days. Turning to Rinpoche Mountain is really an unforgettable experience in my hiking experience. The biggest harvest is Mount Lashan in Zhuo Ma at an altitude of 5580 meters, which is the highest place I climbed.

Q8: Riding and hiking are both sports that require great physical strength and endurance. What sports do you usually take part in, and how do you keep your energy and physical strength?

I have no other hobbies, but I like riding and hiking in nature, and I don't take part in other sports in particular. For me, the most important thing is persistence. Every time you ride a long distance or climb on foot, you can't back down when you encounter difficulties. As long as there is no personal safety, I will achieve my goal even if I bite my teeth. There is no mountain higher than man, and there is no road longer than man.

Q9: There are also many outdoor enthusiasts who pay attention to the fans of the bar network. If you were asked to recommend a cycling route and a hiking route for bar fans, which one would you recommend and which one would be less self-destructive and have excellent scenery along the way?

This is not a good recommendation. Everyone's physical condition, personal conditions, travel time and hobbies are different. Personally, I am used to riding long distances. It's easy before it's difficult. After all, my physical strength will decline with age. I'm afraid I can't ride after the difficulty. As for outdoor enthusiasts, I believe they also have various ways to learn about outdoor information. They can choose the route according to their own situation. If you are a novice, you'd better travel with an experienced team first.

Q 10: Thank you very much for accepting the interview with Let's Go on a Date, and I very much hope that you can join the big family of Let's Go on a Date. Everyone is a group of people who love traveling, driving and life. Finally, a word to the fans.

Some people run marathons at the age of 70, some model at the age of 80, and some learn skydiving at the age of 90. Age is not an obstacle, physical strength is not a problem, and faith is more important than age and physical strength. After all, there are some things you don't do now and never will!

Let's leave now. You have an appointment. Brother Chu said

Hello everyone! I'm the co-founder of Let's Go. Good dreams come true.

Riding into Tibet, hiking in Medog, climbing rivers, climbing mountains to Rinpoche, put together, no one thought it would be a man in his 60 s. ......

The 65-year-old bison really looks like a stubborn cow. In the wilderness, he has suffered from wind and rain, and he will never back down regardless of difficulties and hardships.

There is no mountain higher than man, and there is no road longer than man.
