To the south of Yunnan, there is a place to grow tea.

The most famous tea in Yunnan is Pu 'er tea. Pu 'er, formerly known as Simao, is an important post station on the ancient tea-horse road. Pu 'er and Xishuangbanna have been the main producing areas of Pu 'er tea since ancient times, and as many as 14 generations of ethnic minorities have lived here. Subtropical virgin forests have brought warm and humid climate and rich products here.

Lincang in October is like crossing back from autumn to summer. The children are playing naked in the water park; People who run in the morning by Plum Lake on the outskirts of Pu 'er are all wearing shorts. The caterpillar was spinning and cocooning, and accidentally hit it, scaring the child to scream; There is a tea garden by the lake. Climbing the stairs, I saw rows of tea trees standing neatly on the slope.

Tea culture in China has a long history, and the records of Pu 'er tea can be traced back to the Three Kingdoms period. According to legend, Zhuge Liang personally planted tea when he went south, and the Jino people worshipped Kongming as the tea ancestor for generations, so Pu 'er tea has the legend of "the legacy of Wuhou". Lu Yu of the Tang Dynasty devoted his whole life to writing the Book of Tea, because Datang and Nanzhao were at war at that time, and he never set foot in Yunnan, so he couldn't recognize Pu 'er tea. After the Tang, Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties, Pu 'er tea became an important commodity for exchanging tea for horses. During the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty, Pu 'er tea was favored by the court and became tribute tea, which entered the most prosperous development period. In 2007, "Pu 'er tea" and "stock market" were the three most popular economic terms in China. Nowadays, people in Yunnan, both urban and rural, love Pu 'er tea. Cooked tea has the function of warming the stomach, while raw tea can clear away heat and detoxify.

Pu 'er tea is a big leaf tea, which is the original tea tree species, and the top grade is collected from the Millennium tea tree. Ancient tea trees grow in the deep mountains in the southwest border, bathing in the morning mist and drinking the starlight at night, just like gods. On one occasion, Japanese tea men came all the way to Wan Li to worship.

There were many tea mountains in ancient Yunnan, which could not be identified because of different historical records. It is said to be the six ancient tea mountains. In today's Xishuangbanna, it is named after the artifacts buried by Wuhou, which are called Gordon, Ibang, Mangzhi, Manzhuan, Mansa and Aule. It is said that there are six tea mountains outside Neijiang of Lancang River, and there are six above in the river. Outside the river are Nannuo, Nanqiao, Mengsong, Jingmai, Brown and Bada respectively. These legends, anecdotes and local chronicles may not be credible, but Chashan won't lie. Believe it or not, the tea tree is there and has been studying for thousands of years.

I came to Jingmai Mountain by mistake, which is only 20km away from the Myanmar border. The 10,000 mu ancient tea garden on the mountain is the best preserved, oldest and largest artificial tea garden in the world. As soon as you enter the mountain gate, the vehicle will automatically enter the vibration mode. What greeted me was the marble road built by Panshan Mountain for more than 30 kilometers. I don't know how long it took, but I found an inn in Jingmai Dazhai in the night. Jingmai Mountain is not a scenic spot with few tourist facilities. The inn mainly serves tea merchants, and there are few restaurants. Although it is a village in Shan Ye, the air is exceptionally fresh and the roads in the village are clean and tidy. In order to protect the ancient tea trees, there is no water and mud road on the mountain, and the tea garden is vast, so you have to ride a motorcycle to pick tea. In a good year, the average annual income of a family is hundreds of thousands to millions. Ask the villagers: "Why don't you leave the mountain when you make money?" The answer is: "What our ancestors left behind should be well guarded." Simple thoughts may lead to more happiness, which is the subtraction of life. Stay in the mountain for one night, see the whole tea mountain and see the stars in Daiyue.

The next morning, sleepy, I heard someone shouting, "White clouds are floating into the room!" The endless sea of clouds comes into view, and it is like heaven. The "Little Two" in the inn called the passengers up for breakfast in each room. When the sun shines all over the tea mountain, the dense fog has not dispersed, and it is the mountain fog that makes good tea. Looking for an ancient tea garden in the fog, I met the elder sister A Dai who sells tea eggs. Seeing me holding a drone, I chatted curiously and pointed to two ancient stockades to shoot for us, one was Wengji of Bulang nationality and the other was Nuogang of Dai nationality.

I couldn't find the specific location of the stockade in the navigation, so I had to walk all the way to find it. Most of the houses in the stockade are made of wood. Hinayana Buddhism is believed here, and the highest and most beautiful building is the temple. There are few fireworks in modern society. Wengji has tea houses, pottery shops and sporadic vendors, while Nuogang is primitive. Most villagers wear national costumes and are warm and friendly. "Come and sit at home!" "Come and have tea!" You can always hear such greetings. Planting tea, making tea, drinking tea and selling tea have lived under the protection of tea shade for generations, and they have been carefree for a hundred years.
