Bodhi’s strength is not inferior to that of the Jade Emperor Tathagata, so why can’t he participate in the Peach Fair?

You may not be too unfamiliar with Bodhi. In fact, Bodhi is Patriarch Bodhi. He is a patriarch-level master in "Journey to the West". The strength of Patriarch Bodhi is comparable to that of the Jade Emperor and Tathagata. He does not live in the heaven, but he is in the mortal world, accepting disciples and teaching skills. Although he is low-key, there are many disciples who have joined his disciples and taught him martial arts and magic power. His reputation in the mortal world is actually very loud. Even Sun Wukong heard the rumors and traveled thousands of miles to seek refuge with Patriarch Bodhi to learn his skills.

So Bodhi’s strength is not inferior to that of the Jade Emperor Tathagata, why can’t he participate in the Peach Club? In fact, let’s talk about this Peach Club first. Everyone is familiar with the Peach Fair. After all, the Peach Fair is the grandest feast in the heaven in "Journey to the West". The Peach Fair is a banquet held by the Queen Mother every year on the third day of March in the Yaochi of the Tiangong. This banquet is to celebrate the Queen Mother’s birthday. Because the main food at the banquet was flat peaches, it was called the Flat Peach Party.

Why the Pantao Club is so famous is actually because of two reasons. One is the staple food at the banquet, flat peaches. This flat peach is not the other flat peach. Even if you have money or magic, you may not be able to eat the flat peaches at the Queen Mother's banquet, because these flat peaches only bloom once every three thousand years, bear fruit after three thousand years, and mature after another three thousand years. The most important thing is these flat peaches. If a person who has matured for three thousand years eats them, he can fly and become an immortal. Those who have matured for six thousand years can live forever if they eat it; those who have matured for nine thousand years can live as long as heaven if they eat it. It can be seen how rare and precious this flat peach is.

The other one is the people who participated in the Peach Club. Not everyone can participate. There is a rigid standard for participating in this event, that is, these people are basically working in the heaven. Even if they are not working in the heaven, they are working in other places, helping the big bosses in the management of the heaven. Also, even though you are employed but Heaven has not paid you a salary, that is not acceptable either. This is why although Sun Wukong was appointed to guard the Peach Garden, he was not on the list to participate in the Peach Banquet, because he had an official position but no salary. Make it clear that he is a non-staff member.

The main reason is that the Peach Club can actually be said to be the annual meeting of the heaven. Every year, the Peach Club distributes benefits, rewards and an opportunity to connect with the immortals who serve. This is why, even though the Jade Emperor invited Tathagata to the Peach Club, Tathagata would not go, let alone the Bodhi Patriarch. None of them are in the establishment of heaven.
