I found a hotel near the railway station and slept all night. The next morning, I took the train from Ankang to Hanyin. These two places are very close. Less than ten o'clock, we arrived in Hanyin County.

At the gate of Hanyin bus station, there is a shuttle bus to Vortex Town. After getting on the bus, I asked the driver to put me in a place where I could see the terraced fields.

When you get off the bus, you will see the scenery of the countryside. In the distance, the mountains are continuous and terraced fields are hidden among them, forming a green landscape. There are some houses in the middle, dotted with the whole picture.

After going down the mountain, I walked into the whole painting. Because in the season when I arrived, the rape flowers had withered and the paddy fields had been transplanted, so I couldn't see the effect of online photos. I can't see any tourists on the road. I'm the only one walking alone.

Walking in the country, I can only hear the buzz of bees, and I feel very quiet. I walked slowly to the terrace and observed the rice fields at close range, which was not quite what I expected.

After walking for more than a kilometer, I finally saw the Wenbao Monument set up by the provincial government, followed by a detailed introduction of Yanfeng ancient terraces. It was founded in the 21st year of Qingganlong and has a history of more than 250 years. Its builder is the Wu family in Changsha County, Hunan Province.

In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, due to the war, the local population in southern Shaanxi decreased sharply and the land was barren. Therefore, during Shunzhi and Kangxi years, immigrants from Huguang area were called to fill in the local area. So the Wu family came to Vortex Town, Hanyin County, where they built terraced fields and developed the economy.

The whole terrace covers a large area, including Huanglong, Yanping and Cigou villages in Vortex Town. It took me more than half an hour to reach the Wu Jia greenhouse in Cigou village. This is a residential building in the middle and late Qing dynasty, which has obvious characteristics of Jiangnan residential style.

I am most interested in the "immigrant culture exhibition" inside. It's a pity that Wu Huawu didn't open because it was the off-season, which made me feel very sorry.

There are still traditional planting methods here. Farmers rely on buffaloes to cultivate land and then transplant rice seedlings by hand. Everything works well together.

It turned out that it was built in the first year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 540 years. Less than one hundred years later than Xi 'an City Wall, it belongs to the same period of architecture. Unfortunately, it suffered great damage during the Cultural Revolution, and only a section of the lower south city wall and the west city wall was preserved. At the beginning of the 20th century, in order to widen the South Street, the South Gate was partially demolished, leaving only the West Gate.

Leave Hanyin City Wall and continue to the north, then come to Longgang Park in the north of the city. Along the mountain, you can see an attic, which is called Longgang Pavilion locally. It's a pity that I can't visit.

Shen Memorial Hall is easy to find, just on Xinjie Street. Walking in, I feel a quiet atmosphere. Because there are few tourists, I will take a stroll by myself and learn about the deeds of the three characters.

Who are the "Three Gods"? Refers to Shen Shiyuan, Shen and Shen Jianshi. The three of them lived in Hanyin when they were teenagers and later became professors in Peking University. They have made great achievements in their respective academic fields and are masters in the history of modern culture.
