What is the psychology behind children lying?

There are actually many reasons why children lie. Sometimes they are very afraid of being scolded because they have done something wrong, sometimes they want to be praised by their parents, and sometimes what parents ask their children to do is not what they like. These are the reasons why children lie.

Sensitive children are good at observing words and deeds, and any dissatisfaction shown by parents will be captured by sensitive hearts, and they will deliberately hide or cover up improper behavior in order to meet their parents' requirements. For example, for children whose grades are not good enough to change, parents must expect too much from their children's high scores and ignore their efforts. After their efforts failed, they were forced to lie in order not to be criticized by their parents.

Sometimes when a child is unwilling or unable to do something, it is called a headache and a stomachache! Deceiving parents or teachers with all kinds of lies will often win their sympathy, so they will often lie to shirk their responsibilities in the future.

Many children, out of curiosity, accidentally broke things at home and were forced to lie for fear of punishment from their parents. Many times, the more parents punish, the more children love to lie, and it is very serious every time. Under the severe pressure of parents, many children will yield in the direction their parents expect and tell a lie.
