The legend of Mount Emei

The green hills dance and the green waters sing. Because this green mountain is as beautiful as embroidered eyebrows, people call it Emei Mountain.

2. Jiulao Cavern

The origin of myths and legends comes from the romance of God. Zhao Gongming, the God of Wealth in our mouth, was cultivated in Jiulao Cavern, Emei Mountain. Later, he helped Shang Dynasty in the battle of Shang and Zhou Dynasties, but was defeated by Jiang Ziya of Zhou Dynasty. 4. Shui Sheng Pavilion

The story originated from the question of the trip of the ancient great god Xuanyuan. 6. Nuwa Stone

According to legend, in ancient times, in The goddess patching the sky, a stone fell out of Nu Wa's stove and landed on Mount Emei. This stone is tall and big, reaching into the sky, so it connects heaven and earth. From then on, the gods in the sky never have to come to people through a worse heaven. This stone was named "Tianmen Stone" as their back door. Some immortals wanted to play on earth, so they came to Emei Mountain through this stone. Since then, there have been immortals on Mount Emei.

7. Tianmen Stone

There is Mount Emei in Sichuan, which is only three feet and three meters away from the sky. However, there are two big stones higher than Mount Emei. The two stones are similar in shape, close in distance and steep in stone wall. People call them "Tianmen Stone". According to legend, when Nu Wa tried to mend the sky, she fell out of the furnace and rolled to Mount Emei.

Before this stone, if the immortal wanted to go to earth, he had to go through the ladder from the Nantianmen guarded by Qingluan. No one could go without the will of the Jade Emperor and the Empress Dowager. Since this Tianmen stone, which goes up to the worse Tianmen and down to Emei Mountain, immortals can reach the world without going through the ladder. Therefore, the magic generals and fairies in the heavenly palace often secretly come to Emei Mountain to play.

8. Dead-leaf butterflies

According to legend, on March 3rd, the Queen Mother held a flat peach party to celebrate her birthday, and all the immortals came. The Queen Mother ordered Taibai to take belt of venus and the fairies to the Flat Peach Garden to pick flat peaches. When Taibai Venus counted the number of fairies, she found that the two fairies guarding the flat peach garden were missing. After investigation, she learned that the two fairies went to Emei from Tianmenshi privately. The queen mother was very angry and immediately ordered the giant spirit god to take them back.

After the two fairies came to Emei, they were completely fascinated by endless flowers and plants, endless green valleys and springs, and forgot the time to go back. Suddenly I saw a white cloud floating in the sky. At the top of the cloud stood a man with a golden helmet and a big axe in his hand. That's a huge god.

They were so scared that they soon became two Davidia involucrata trees. The great gods saw two Davidia involucrata trees with white flowers standing in the green forest. White petals, like ribbons on the fairy's waist, should be changed by two fairies.

He took out the purple lock and tried to lock the Davidia involucrata tree. The two fairies soon turned into two thrushes and flew away. This great god is not stupid. He knows that thrush usually only likes to sing in the Woods. Two fairies must have insisted on flying to the sky. He also became a rock eagle, chasing thrush. When the two fairies saw that their tricks were seen through by the giant spirit god again, they thought that they must change something that the giant spirit god could not recognize before they could escape.

The two fairies discussed it and had an idea. They fell into a pile of dead leaves and became two butterflies. Butterflies have yellow wings with veins on them, just like dead leaves on the ground. Sure enough, the giant spirit god searched the whole mountain and never found them again.

The giant spirit god couldn't find the fairy, so he had to return to the heavenly palace to reply to the queen mother. The Queen Mother felt that this stone stood just outside the worse gate, and built a private earthly bridge for those who missed it. If this stone is not removed, the Heavenly Palace will not be peaceful. She immediately ordered the giant spirit god to cut off the Tianmen stone, cut off the two fairies' way home, and never allowed them to return to the Heavenly Palace.

The giant spirit god picked up an axe and cut it at the top of Tianmen stone. One axe cut Tianmen stone in half, and then two axes split the boulder in two. When the stone in Tianmen was cut off, the two fairies could never return to the Heavenly Palace, and they became two dead-leaf butterflies in Emei Mountain forever.
