What is the route from Morocco to Spain?

Last Saturday, in the FIFA Qatar 2022 World Cup14 final, Portugal, the favourite to win the championship, was upset and lost to Morocco with a score of 0- 1. The game was broadcast live by Spanish national television RTVE. Commentators include famous Spanish footballers Carlos Ma Erkai and Sandy cazorla, and RTVE famous sports commentator Juan Carlos Riviero. However, during the match, Riviero's remarks about Morocco's high-intensity defense and quick counterattack triggered a discussion about whether this comment was a "hell joke".

In this commentary, a commentator of RTVE said: "The Moroccan team steals and then quickly runs back to Los Marquez Roban y Salem Corrento". In Spanish, this sentence can also be understood as "Moroccans rob, then rob, and then run away." Perhaps realizing that this sentence of his colleague has a double understanding, Riviero quickly added: "Grab and run, which is completely an understanding of the football context."

It's good that Riviero doesn't explain. A sentence in the football commentary may not be singled out for criticism. But Rivero's supplement, in his view, may be to help colleagues get out of trouble and avoid being interpreted by extended meanings. However, his supplement or "unnecessary explanation" reflects that in his mind, "Moroccans robbed and ran" should be understood as "Moroccans are used to robbing and running".

After the above comments, Pablo Iglesias, a former leader of Podemos and a professor of political science at CommScope Rutans University, took the lead. He forwarded the incident through his Twitter account and accused RTVE TV and commentators of moral corruption. Commentators should be fired immediately.

Just below Pablo Iglesias' tweet accusing RTVE commentators of racial discrimination, many Spanish netizens replied and refuted Iglesias. Some netizens showed a video of Moroccan fans who took part in the celebration after Morocco's victory, taking advantage of the crowded crowd, grabbing a woman's mobile phone on the roadside and running away quickly, and wrote: "This is the Moroccan who robbed and ran."
