The original "Without * * *, there would be no China" was changed to "Without * * *, there would be no new China" after it was popular for six or seven years, and the lyrics were also revised accordingly.

"Without * * *, there would be no China" is obviously a problem. Then, when did someone find the problem and add the word "new" to "without * * *, there would be no new China"? There are many sayings, the most popular of which is Mao Zedong's change of words:

After the founding of New China, one day in 1950, Mao Zedong heard his daughter Li Ne sing "Without * * *, there would be no China" in Zhongnanhai, pointing out that this statement was inaccurate and problematic. However, the author Cao was only 19 years old when he wrote it, so it is understandable to make such mistakes.

As far as wording is concerned, the historical logic of the sentence "Without * * *, there would be no China" is obvious. Although full of passion, the problem is obvious. The song "Without * * *, there would be no China" can be widely sung for 67 years, which is a typical case of our people's weak awareness of problems.
