At that time, it was really highly educated and well paid. It used to be the same. When a college student was born, many people felt that their lives had settled down. Especially in rural areas, college students are generally labeled as "golden phoenix", giving people a sense of ancestor worship. I remember when I was studying, when I graduated from primary school, a group of students could not go to junior high school and went to work after graduation. When they graduated from junior high school, another group of students could not continue to study in senior high school and went to work. When I graduated from high school, a large number of students could not continue their studies in the university. Among this large number of students, I don't remember any primary school students, only a few junior high school students. I remember very clearly that when I was waiting for the bus to go to the county high school, the primary school students I met directly asked, are you still studying?

They will think that you have studied for so long and so high, for what, just for that high salary. Otherwise, you are their joke. For many children, especially children in rural areas, reading is to make their life more choices, or more leisurely choices. For students, education represents a person's education, professional knowledge and learning attitude, which is not naturally equivalent to high salary. But for those who don't choose to study, they may feel that a high degree without a high salary is a failure.
