Therefore, this understanding is "not false and inconvenient". What is convenience? Convenience is generally some auxiliary means and help to make us enlightened and get the goal of practicing certificate. But the Pure Land Law does not need these conveniences-it is really convenient, that is, a name is read to the end: a name is known to the Buddha, and a name cannot be tolerated. We ordinary people are persistent and don't understand the direct relationship between this name and our minds. So he kept thinking, is it enough to pronounce this name? He has doubts. It is not enough to look at the name. He must add something to rest assured. The reason why he has this kind of psychology is that he doesn't know the advantages and disadvantages of the name itself, and he doesn't know the homologous relationship between the names we remember and our minds.

On this relationship, Master Hu Yi has a very important revelation. Amitabha's name is based on the mind of all beings. The name is infinite light and infinite life-two core values, infinite life is static and infinite light is used; In fact, infinite light and longevity are the manifestations of Buddha nature, and the two core values are the manifestations of reality. Then all our sentient beings have infinite life and infinite light, which means that we also have Buddha nature. So the name is because we have unlimited longevity and established a name on the fruit land with unlimited longevity. Without the place where we studied before, there would be no place where Amitabha was famous-no foundation; At the same time, without the name of Amitabha, it is impossible to show our infinite longevity: this is the relationship. Therefore, our heart and the name of Amitabha are homologous, isomorphic, homogeneous and interactive.

The first principle of "six is Buddha"-our real cause is Buddha nature. These two causes and effects, one in the first place and the other in the sixth place, can interact, blend and connect with each other because of mental causality. This is called "the sea of cause and effect, and the root of fruit lies in the source." The interaction of cause and effect leads to the interaction of Buddha's name in the hearts of all beings, which can produce our ultimate purpose of seeing Buddha. Then this matter, with no other convenience, came straight to the point and the core blossomed.

Why should you believe what this person says and what that person says?

As I said in the first class, the purpose of learning Buddhism is to get rid of life and death-first of all, we must solve the problem of life and death in sections. To solve the problem of life and death by stages, we should consider 84 thousand ways to pass. There is no way to rely on your own efforts, only on the will of Amitabha. It is not convenient to hold this name, "satisfied", and our hearts will be opened, that is, if the Tathagata hides our hearts, we will be able to endure and not be born. If the Tathagata hides his heart and opens it, infinite merits will be revealed. This self-body, appearance and use: our self-heart-self-beauty, as real as nature, has all the merits and demerits in the world. When this is opened, it will show all the great uses in the world and in the world. So what the Bodhisattva shows us is to focus on the Buddha, that is, to focus on the Buddha, one pulse and three places, one phase and three places, and nothing else. In-depth study is precisely a feature of Bodhisattva as the embodiment of wisdom. Only people with great wisdom can go deep.

What do you mean by doing this today and doing that tomorrow? It shows that you have no wisdom, shallow roots and deep karma. This fame can solve all problems, one method has all methods, and the achievement of the pure land of death means the achievement of all great wishes. Don't ask yourself, because this matter is not for ordinary people, voices, feelings and bodhisattvas to ask, nor is it the realm of these three pedestrians. The Buddha's observation of the good roots of all beings and the people attending the meeting is out of great compassion, and those who believe in this law-once they believe, they will get great benefits, because compassion comes without asking. Therefore, this matter must be carried out by wisdom, acceptance and burden. Bodhisattva is the embodiment of wisdom, called boundless blazing light, saying that all his pores glow. Shine light, as long as all beings who are destined to see this light can see bodhisattvas and ten buddhas. Light is a sign of wisdom.

The general trend is that the Bodhisattva tells us that "convenience is not false, but complacency and open-mindedness are true". At present, the method of chanting Buddha is convenient to overcome differences, and there is no need to add other conveniences to overcome differences. This is a common concept of Pure Land Sect. "Alienation" means strangeness, "victory" means extraordinary victory, which is extremely extraordinary and bizarre among all convenient methods, and is called "convenience first". All the practice of Buddhism is to facilitate us to reach the treasure house of Buddha, but this method of chanting Buddha is a shortcut in convenience and quickness, which is direct and quick. If you grasp the first convenience, you don't need the second convenience and the third convenience. Know this truth? All you have to do is recite the Buddha.

We used to be familiar with the five desires and six dusts in the world, but we were very strange to this Buddhist name. Now by forcing myself to read and recall, I am not interested in the five desires and six dusts, and I am not interested in the grievances of the world; I am very interested in this Buddhist name, and the more I read it, the happier I am. It means that the objects you are familiar with are changing-it must be like this.

If you don't do this, you will read the Buddha in your mouth, and the things in the world will occupy the dominant position in your heart, so it is difficult to get legal benefits. It is impossible for you to see the Buddha in Elysium.

As long as Jiao Yuan lives at this level first, it will have the ability to transcend the limitations of time and space in this ignorant range, and can show eight aspects in 130,000 worlds. It's actually not convenient to reach the bodhisattva. It is this name that comes straight to the point, opens the Buddha's heart and knows what to look at, and knows the present with one heart.

So how is this thing realized? Just use a metaphor: if a person has fragrance, he has fragrance, which is called fragrance and solemnity. "Like people who dye incense", we don't owe ordinary people incense, but all of them are bad karma. This "fragrance" can be understood as the fragrance of five dharma bodies: abstinence from fragrance, fixation of fragrance, wisdom of fragrance, liberation of fragrance, and enlightenment of fragrance after liberation. We don't have this five-point fragrance, but we can pronounce this name and accept the five-point fragrance that Amitabha successfully obtained through the intermediary of the name. It's like our clothes have no fragrance, but you put them in a fragrant shop, which has a strong fragrance of ebony. As long as it is left there for a period of time, the clothes will have a fragrance. Isn't it? Therefore, we, all sentient beings of karma-every thought is greed, anger, ignorance, slowness and doubt. When we read Buddhism, we accepted the merits of the Buddha, just like the person who dyed the incense was contaminated with the incense. Then this incident represents a fundamental feature of the Pure Land Sect: the Buddha's "fruit feeling" is regarded as "due to the center of the earth". With Amitabha's five-point dharma incense and Prajna wisdom light, we solemnly honor our dharma body and wisdom.

Our instinctive awareness is also sufficient, but the Buddha nature of this instinctive awareness is completely obscured. When Amitabha hid a bhikkhu, he felt the same as us. Therefore, from the point of view of the heart, when we recite Buddha, it is "whether the heart is Buddha"; Judging from the degree of Xiu De's awakening, it is necessary to "become a Buddha from the heart". "Becoming a Buddha with one heart" means reciting the merits that have been achieved in the world, which can bring out our original heart, awaken our original heart and show our original heart. This is called "showing my heart in the name of Amitabha", and showing the merits of the fruit field in the name of Amitabha to show our true heart. Although we have our own awareness, our awareness will never work without the name of Amitabha and the blessing of Amitabha.

It's like this piece of wood is on fire, and it won't light if it's kept here. You must drill wood to make a fire. Therefore, this fate is very important. There is a saying in Beijing school that "Buddha was born in life, so it is said to be a ride". We all have the seed of becoming a Buddha, which represents our true feelings-truth, but it must be born of fate. Without this fate, it is impossible. Amitabha accomplished this fate by making a big wish, correcting his name and pure land. This fate is very powerful. Because it is the crystallization of great compassion and great wishes, it is called strong fate-great country fate. As soon as this fate comes, we will cling to this powerful fate, rely on this powerful fate, and pray for this powerful fate. This is the content of Nan Wu: returning to life. If we return to the salvation of this powerful fate, then the seeds of our Buddha will exist, and the seeds of the Buddha are the fruits of becoming a Buddha-the achievements of Mahayana.

Then Mahayana Buddha fruit is still a two-step process for the karma of our time. The first step is to go to the western paradise; After his death in the western paradise, he soon became a Buddha in another land-the pure land of bliss: there were two steps before and after. Then all the ten buddhas hope that we can achieve Mahayana. So what the Buddha wants to say and do most is to say "one Buddha rides", "Mahayana" and "Mahayana". The core of Amitabha's forty-eight wishes is a pure land method called "Definite Desire for Nirvana": if I become a Buddha, all the ten sentient beings in the western paradise will get the positive definite gathering of Mahayana and the fruit of Mahayana quickly and satisfactorily. Therefore, the Pure Land Method is a multiplication, and it is also what Sakyamuni Buddha is most willing to say-six music, symmetry. All the merits of Amitabha fruit are his dharma body fragrance and his prajnaparamita light. Let's read it through this name. Every time I think about it, I am calling on the merits of Amitabha. "Turn all the merits of Buddha into one's own merits" means to completely summon the merits of Amitabha and turn them into one's own merits. This is called "fragrant and solemn". This "solemn fragrance" is an overview of the characteristics of Pure Land Sect. Whether this fragrance and light are perfect or not, the Buddha's dharma body fragrance and wisdom light are used to solemnly reflect our mortal inner principles-dharma body and wisdom.

Why is a Buddhist an aristocrat? The Infinite Life Sutra says that the Buddhist is the first disciple of Mahayana. Amitabha vows: As long as you believe in your name, you will be respected by heaven and man. You believe that if you want to hold a name, you can get in touch with the Buddha's light. This is called "being touched by light". Attention, this passage is "moved by light". Amitabha is a man of great equality, and the boundless light he emits shines on the dharma world, and all living beings can be illuminated by this light; But to reach this light, not all beings can touch it. "Touch" means induction. This light can affect you, and you need to hold a name of faith to touch this light. If you don't believe in holding a name, you won't be able to touch the light. Just like the electromagnetic wave of CCTV is here, if you don't have a TV, or the frequency number of the TV is wrong, this electromagnetic wave won't work. At the moment, you don't think it exists, but it already exists here. How can you make it work-its sound and image can be expressed? You have to have something in contact with it and correspond to it to show it.

Amitabha radiates his light and will of compassion to the whole dharma circle. Metaphorically, it's similar here. To contact this Buddha's light, you have to read Buddha. Then "touch the light", once this light is touched, our body and mind will be soft. Soft body means that every cell will be activated and the body will be healthy; If you are soft-hearted, you will be merciful and softer than heaven and man-softer than heaven and man. Therefore, a Buddhist is usually soft and full of harmony. Of course, interpersonal relationships will be harmonious and moral sense will be good, and everyone will like it.

Not only ordinary people are respectful, but also the gods in the sky will be respectful to this Buddhist. Why is he respectful? Because when you read Buddha, your heart light is integrated with Tommy's light. Maybe people in the world can't see the life value of a Buddhist, but God can. He knew, "Hey, he's shining with gold. Other people who don't read Buddhism have no light and are all black. Then ghosts and gods are beings who respect the light-ghosts and gods, including those in Yan Luowang, all attach importance to morality. People in the world value power, power and wealth, while people with real vision value morality. The status of these powers and wealth is illusory and cannot be taken away; But your morality, your wisdom and your mind can accompany you.

So why is a Buddhist called Fantoli Flower? Buddha is not casually admired. A person who believes in fame is Bai Lianhua in the world. Rare, rare, you can get good luck in the world when you appear. We shouldn't think that chanting Buddha is just a way to die. A pedestrian who believes in Buddhism can get all kinds of good luck in this world: family will be harmonious, career will be smooth, wisdom will develop, morality will improve and health will be good. Isn't this to benefit the world? You can be a moral gentleman, a great sage in the world and be respected.

This kind of recitation activates good knowledge and good ability. Nowadays, many people have no sense of morality and their conscience is numb. This is called "mourning is greater than dying in the heart": when the heart dies, all the good knowledge and ability are dead. So you see many corrupt officials arrested and locked up. He never felt guilty. He didn't feel that he had committed anything, and even said, "People who are more greedy than me haven't come in yet." He is not convinced, which means that he has no sense of shame and repentance. A person is not afraid to make mistakes, and mistakes are inevitable. The problem is that you made a mistake. You should know shame, guilt and repentance. Now there is not even this, that is, "sorrow in my heart is greater than death", alas. Now we haven't had a religious education for a long time, and we haven't publicized a moral value, so everything is utilitarian and developed. It used to be class struggle, but now it is economic construction: class struggle causes people's hatred, and economy first causes people's greed.

This is the standard of two fundamental troubles-greed and anger, plus stupidity-ignorance and numbness, and ignorance of good and evil. If greed, anger and ignorance dominate the whole thing, we will suffer personally and this group will suffer even more. Buddhist chanting can save individuals and countries, and it can awaken good knowledge and good ability. Because all moral principles, all compassion, charity and comity are inherent in all our sentient beings. This is Buddhism, which is our own.

Mencius also said: "Everything is ready for me, and I am sincere and happy." Everything is ready, only the east wind is needed, "which is very similar to what Buddhism says." All the good laws in the world, all the good laws in the world, come from our own hearts. We ask from the heart, "Just be happy". We don't ask for it from outside. Now we don't have the education of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Everyone wants it from the outside. Ask, eventually you miss it, and you can't ask; It's hard to get-ask for it. "Everything is blessed, never leaving your heart", and then you can be satisfied. If you take that spiritual value and way out as your real goal in life, it will naturally dilute your persistence in five desires and six dusts. Only in this way can he live a reasonable life, not pursue high consumption and not occupy too many resources, then our world will be peaceful. If our desire is high and we all want to pursue high consumption, then our resources are not enough. Lack of resources will be a big problem between people and between countries.

Therefore, the contribution of Buddhism to this human being-this subtle and great role, no matter how praised in words, cannot be overemphasized. Unfortunately, many people don't understand the significance and value of Buddhism. We have good roots to listen to, so we should solve our own problems first: first believe that we are willing to hold a name, and we will be fragrant and solemn. Our own incense is solemn, it lights the lamp in our hearts, then pursues endless lighting methods, lights others, and then lights the third and fourth, so that this ignorant place has bright wisdom. That person will be blessed, the country will be blessed, the earth will be blessed, and the whole world will be blessed. So we are fragrant and solemn, and we must be true to ourselves.
