How to communicate with Germans (original)

I have been in Germany for seven years, so I want to write about my experience in dealing with people in Germany. I hope it will help the new brothers and sisters. I'm tired of coding so many words. Let me start with the introversion of China people. I found that many international students in China are very open and enthusiastic, but more than half of them are introverted, not when they get along with China, but when they get along with Germans. Many children feel insecure when they go abroad. They only know the school dormitories at 2: 00 and 1: 00 all day, and make friends only with their neighbors in China or China students they met by chance in college. Usually, I often play with these friends from China, seldom take the initiative to play with people from other countries, or I don't want to make foreign friends at all. This is fatal. Now that you have gone abroad, experiencing German culture means communicating with Germans. Not talking to Germans, not daring to talk to them, or not knowing what to say to them are all psychological portrayal of many international students in China. China is becoming more and more international, but China people are still very conservative abroad, and they like a group of China people to get together and play by themselves. I found that when people from China get together, they are full of disdain and dissatisfaction when they talk about Germans, as if they disdained to associate with devils. In fact, they don't know the Germans and don't want to get along with others, but they secretly say that the Germans are unfriendly, and there are many people who have this kind of sour jealousy. Therefore, over time, China students have formed an impression in the eyes of Germans, only knowing that they are immersed in their studies, timid, sensitive, narrow-minded and unsociable.

In fact, it is not difficult to communicate with Germans. Germans are very open, but they are not the most open nation in the world. Many Germans are also very introverted. Open Germans are easy to get along with. If you go to have a drink with them, go to a disco or get together, it's easy to blend in. If someone invites you, don't refuse. Germans won't ask for a second time. Introverted Germans don't like singing and dancing, which is more troublesome. Talk to them about things they are interested in, such as sitting together at dinner, and they will definitely ask you about China. At this time, you can go on and on and say that they are always curious about strange cultures and want to know more about them. As for the content, it doesn't matter. Ask politics, say what you want, but don't want to say that you don't know. It is taboo to talk about socialism with Germans. Even if you really think so, you'd better not say it, just keep it in your heart. It is best to talk about culture, from Qin Shihuang to Sun Yat-sen, but it is best to be modest and not to show the habit of bragging at the domestic dinner table, which is easy to be despised.

After the first meeting, don't talk about China with Germans all day, which makes people think you are a nationalist. How can you talk about China and German all day? Forget your nationality and your friend's nationality. If you really want to treat others as friends and peers, talk about things that have nothing to do with the country and the nation, such as what you usually like, sports, music, art and so on. You'd better make an appointment to go out and play together, and try to avoid saying things that clearly distinguish you from others, such as: What do we China people usually do? In this case, don't say anything, or someone else will.

Don't talk about China, then what? Pay a little attention to German news and current affairs and read German newspapers. Always have something to say. Jokes are a bit difficult. Understanding German jokes or telling them yourself is an important means of communication. Germans are a thoughtful people who like to show their wit and humor when they speak. The first thing you should do is to understand and appreciate their humor, and then show some humor yourself. In fact, these humors are found in many American dramas. I usually watch more American dramas or skits on German TV in my spare time, and I will gradually understand them. Many foreign students in China are not young, and they watch some childish things all day. Germans will not discuss Japanese cartoons such as Conan or Huo Ying with you, nor will they be interested in any Korean TV series tvb. These things will not help people improve their self-cultivation. They really want to improve their communication level, watch more American dramas, read more German newspapers and read more English novels. If you really like watching, you should control your time and don't spend too much time on those childish things.

Listening to music is the same. Don't just listen to Chinese songs, listen to English songs more, and learn some European and American music, so that you can communicate with others. Many Chinese songs are covers, which are very negative and sentimental. Listening too much is bad for your health, and foreigners are embarrassed to hear the cover. It's better to sing some English songs yourself, so as not to spoil the fun. If you are willing to entertain others, others will like you.
