Why do we say that children cannot be raised poor?

Raising a child poor will make other people laugh at you, and will make the child feel inferior.

Let’s take an example from my life. My neighbor’s family is also in good condition, but they live very frugally. They are reluctant to eat or wear clothes, and they are also very frugal about their children. The little boy next door to me is about the same age as me. When we were young, we always wore laundry clothes bought by our mother in the mall. And he was either wearing clothes that other people's children didn't wear, or clothes that her mother had sewn for her, which were very ugly. None of us children were willing to play with him. Sometimes we would laugh at him because of his ragged clothes, and sometimes we would even beat him. This made him become more and more timid. The more afraid he was of us, the more we bullied him. He gradually became more and more inferior to himself.

When he was in school, everyone actively raised their hands to answer questions, but he was always too afraid to raise his hands. He didn’t have any friends. One time the teacher talked to him and asked him why he didn't play with other students. He actually answered like this: I wear shabby clothes because I am afraid that others will dislike me. It can be seen that children must not be raised poor, otherwise it will really ruin the child's life.
