When someone heard this, they said, "Ding Jia dug a well and hit a man." People in Beijing talked all the way to the king of Song.

The king of Song sent someone to ask Ding. Ding Jia replied: "To get a person's labor, it is not to dig a person out of a well." If I knew this was the result, I might as well not ask.
