What is the whereabouts of the imperial seal handed down from the Qing Dynasty?
As the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, Puyi stepped down after only three years in office. Puyi was still a child at this time. After the demise of the Qing Dynasty, Puyi still lived in the palace, and the Beiyang government had a large sum of money every year. Puyi was not completely driven out of Beijing until 1924. Before Puyi was driven out of Beijing, Feng Yuxiang asked Puyi about the whereabouts of the imperial seal, but Puyi didn't mention anything.
For Puyi, although he was responsible for inheriting the national treasure, Puyi was only a child at that time. After the demise of the Qing Dynasty, Puyi never touched the imperial seal again, so Puyi knew nothing about the whereabouts of the imperial seal.
After Feng Yuxiang drove Puyi out of Beijing, he ordered the soldiers to turn the palace upside down, but he didn't find Chuanguoyu either. Until today, there is still no news of the whereabouts of the national decree. But as a witness of the feudal dynasty, the disappearance of the imperial seal meant the end of the feudal dynasty, and China entered a new era. Unfortunately, we can only find the way to inherit the national treasure seal from the history books.
The development and evolution of the imperial seal system;
In the history of dynasties, Bao, the symbol of maintaining its feudal dictatorship, has been inherited or engraved from Qin Shihuang to Qing Dynasty.
The treasure seal system founded by Qin Shihuang was completely inherited by Liu Bang, the emperor gaozu of Han Dynasty, and later became the so-called "Eight Seals System in Qin and Han Dynasties". This system also ran through the whole Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties and Sui Dynasty. They not only inherited the Eight Prints system in Qin and Han Dynasties, but also had no difference in specifications, names, new styles and characters.
It was not until Wu Zetian proclaimed himself emperor in the Tang Dynasty that a seal of "Emperor Tianjing was virtuous and prosperous all his life" was added, and eight printing was changed to nine printing, and at the same time "seal" was changed to "treasure". Since then, all generations have called it "treasure".
