This man was not born disabled, but was punished the day after tomorrow. In ancient times, there was a punishment called strangulation, which was to cut off a foot. Then the man must have made a mistake when he lost a foot. He is a student like Dr. Zheng Guo. Everyone thinks this is a clean place to study, so when I look at it, I always feel uncomfortable to have such a classmate who is a doctor. One day, he couldn't bear to tell Shen Tujia. He said, look, if we leave after class, you go out first and I'll wait for a while. If I want to go out first, you can wait for a while. Let's not go out together. Look, I'm in a hurry. I have something to go. It's not convenient for you to walk. Why don't you wait here for a while before I go out. Shen Tujia asked him, and he said that I heard that learning from the teacher, a bright mirror, if it really shines, will not fall, if it really falls, it will not shine, and so will people! My resentment was dispelled. He said that I studied under my teacher for 19 years. He never thought I was a one-legged man. He never said that. What kind of shame is this? This is a shame that a healthy person shows in front of an incomplete person. This shame stems from the lack of his heart. He understands that a person does not rely on his body or even his strength to evaluate his success, but now he doesn't really know his own efforts and his position (Yu Dan's heart). The same thing, Zhuangzi even attached to Confucius. He said that a man was punished. His name was Shushan without toes. No toes also means that his foot is broken, and Shushan is his word. One day, the uncle went to Confucius' house for advice. Confucius is teaching his students. This man came up and said, can I ask you some lifestyle and learn some knowledge? At first glance, Confucius thought it was a living example, a negative teaching material, and could give lectures to students. Just tell him that when you were young, you were careless and reckless, which led to disaster. That's why you came to me to study after you became like this. Do you think there is still time in life? Don't you reflect? Emperor Wudi of Shushan said calmly at that time. He said that I would lose a foot because I was young and ignorant, but now I know that there are more noble and important things in life than a foot, so I came to ask you for advice. He said, there is nothing in the sky that is not covered, and there is nothing on the earth that is not installed. Master, I regard you as heaven and earth, but you reject me as a human being. All right, I'm leaving. At that time, Confucius, of course, was written by Zhuangzi, saying that he was a teacher from generation to generation, and that sense of shame arose. Confucius: Excuse me, please come in and instruct my disciples. Shushan left without saying a word. Confucius regretted it and turned to the students and said, Let's have a look. Such a person who has made a mistake and been punished knows that there are more complete and respectable things in life than feet. He came to me for advice. We are all virtuous people. How can we not make progress? Zhuangzi lists all kinds of such people here, which shows that they still have an inner strength. In the words of Confucius in The Analects of Confucius, a gentleman is not innocent, but overcorrected. A gentleman is not afraid to correct mistakes. He is not afraid to correct mistakes.
