1 Re-understand humor

Humor should make people laugh, but it should also be subtle and memorable. Otherwise, even if you memorize many jokes and lines and live it up as a walking collection of jokes, it may not be humorous.

2 Four Mechanisms of Humor

3 Basic Formulas of Duanzi

Duanzi = foreshadowing + baggage. Foreshadowing is to establish the first idea and lead the audience in direction A. The more serious and serious the better. What’s funny is that the baggage behind it leads the audience in the opposite direction B.

The foreshadowing part should be concise, otherwise it will create too high expectations. The farther back the baggage is, the better. Remember not to explain, just stop it neatly and leave it to the audience to taste. Create a potential difference between the front and back, be serious in the first half, and don't laugh out loud in the second half.

4. Self-deprecation is your armor

Tell others about your pain to give them a psychological advantage, thus producing a humorous effect. When you laugh at yourself, you are moving in the opposite direction from your own shame and away from negative emotions.

Start from the weaknesses of human nature and avoid lofty persona. For example, this year I set a goal of depositing 30,000 yuan for myself. I just checked my balance and found that I was still short of 50,000 yuan.

Reverse self-deprecation, such as exaggerating yourself. I'm ugly, but why doesn't anyone believe it? Sad.

5 Humor Toolbox

Answering something that is not the question: interrupting and giving an answer that has nothing to do with the original question. ——Uncle, aunt has cooked a table of dishes for you, are you touched? ——Don’t dare to move, she eats first and then I eat.

Avoiding the important and minimizing the important: Do not follow the other party’s words and deliberately misinterpret the key points of the question. ——The house is leaking again. ——With this little rent, you can’t afford to miss out on beer.

To make false claims in the east and attack in the west: Say one thing in front, but what you say later has nothing to do with the previous thing. The mutton stir-fried with green onions is good, the braised fish is also quite tempting, the chicken stewed with mushrooms is delicious. Boss, please have a plate of shredded potatoes.

Three-paragraph: There is a set of things in your joke, A and B are similar, and C is different. ——Sir, do you want coffee, tea, or me?

Alliteration and end rhyme: It sounds smooth, like a golden sentence. For example, there are no ifs in life, only consequences and results.

Improper splitting: split the original fixed combination and then re-describe it. For example, we must devote 100% to our work, 20% on Monday, 20% on Tuesday, and 20% on Friday.

Use allusions: Change well-known poems, sayings, famous sayings, and sayings. For example, good deeds will be rewarded with good deeds and evil deeds will be rewarded with evil deeds. It’s not that you won’t repay them, it’s that your invoice has not been filled out yet.
