What are the manifestations of French humor?

I have seen people compare the humorous characteristics of people from different countries with the characteristics of wines from different countries. For example, Americans' sense of humor, like Coca-Cola, is more active, more direct and easier to understand, so it also shows that there is no depth. Although it can always make people laugh, laughing too much will not make people think. American humor sounds more like a joke, very funny, but lacks wisdom. Humor in European countries, although it doesn't always make people laugh like American humor, it is only a knowing smile at most, and sometimes even cold humor, but it is considered profound, intriguing and chewy, just like wine, such as German humor, which is famous for its "cold humor". However, these words sound like Europeans themselves. When I used to laugh at "friends" in the dormitory, someone would always ask me what I was laughing at inexplicably. After I explain, the other party always gives me a quick laugh. There are two reasons for this. First, I am really easy to laugh. I can always laugh at the coldest jokes. Secondly, I really think that American humor is the easiest to understand in western humor for China people. I feel that American humor should be based on teasing, and they also like to use puns. The words are more vivid and a bit meaningless. These characteristics should have something in common with Chinese humor.
