Anal swab, in fact, except for some embarrassment, the discomfort is very low.

As far as my own feeling is concerned, it should be that the skin of anus is much thicker than other places, so the discomfort is relatively weak.

Second, after all, it is private parts, even if it is to see a doctor, not to mention just testing. However, anal swab, after all, is to take off pants, in fact, sometimes it is quite embarrassing. Imagine, in a place like China, you usually have to look at hemorrhoids, and you have to take off your pants and stab the nurse if you don't feel sick or painful. Although they can cooperate with the prevention and control of the epidemic, it does not mean that they have no ideas in their hearts. Besides, although nurses are professional reasons, people also have psychological shadows when they poke their butts every day.

Third, although there is a saying that it can be done in ten seconds, it is actually much more troublesome to queue up one by one, enter the ward and lie in bed. Then, the efficiency of anal swab is actually not high. Let me count it this way. A throat swab only needs to line up and open its mouth, while an anal swab needs to enter the door, take off its pants and lie in bed waiting for testing. And out of respect for privacy, most people wait for the object to get up and put on pants before calling the next one.

In this way, the time cost of anal swab will come out, which is definitely less efficient than other methods. Although this method may not be so tiring for inspectors, it is not efficient if it is a national nucleic acid.

In short, although anal swab is not so uncomfortable for the subjects, it may not be the best choice for epidemic prevention and control.
