With official support and access of the three major banks, why do domestic manufacturers still lose their voices in the face of Huawei HarmonyOS?

Before the advent of HarmonyOS system, major domestic enterprises also made great efforts in operating systems, but all of them were missing. As a result, after the arrival of the mobile Internet era, all mobile phone manufacturers can only choose Android, which is in a monopoly position in the market and remains open source, and the latter has earned a lot of money.

The four well-known domestic manufacturers, Huami OV, have all designed the UI system of their products based on Android, which is equivalent to the other party catching your "pigtails". It is precisely because of the rapid rise of Huawei that it has been subjected to endless suppression. As a surname of "Mi", Google has made a heavy blow and cut off the GMS service of Huawei's overseas equipment early.

However, in retrospect, we may still "thank" the other party for this behavior, because it made Huawei clear that if we want to be independent of others, we must firmly go on the road of independent research and development. Fortunately, since 212, Huawei has set up a research base in the Netherlands, and it also made its debut in HarmonyOS in early 219.

Seeing that Huawei was so resilient, the other side began to have no bottom line, and gave Huawei heavy blows on the hardware side again and again, which also made Huawei see the reality clearly and began to accelerate the development and improvement of HarmonyOS system. After more than a year's waiting, on June 2nd, the day that attracted much attention, Huawei HarmonyOS OS2 arrived as scheduled, and immediately set off social media.

Since its release, HarmonyOS's discussion on social media has been on the rise. Consumers are eager to feedback their good experience of updating the HarmonyOS system, and at the same time, they call on the manufacturers of their mobile phones to access HarmonyOS as soon as possible, which means that they have done their part to support Huawei, showing their patriotism.

Three major banks, namely CITIC Bank, China Bank and Guangfa Bank, also announced their access to HarmonyOS system. They said that they would contact their credit cards and other products on HarmonyOS mobile phones in the future, which shows their solidarity. The news undoubtedly shattered people's suspicions and criticisms about HarmonyOS.

Frankly speaking, HarmonyOS, as a young system, really can't do everything at this stage, but its performance is unprecedented, and it is much better than competitor Android in fluency, compatibility and security. The construction of HarmonyOS's ecology is not something that Huawei can do on its own. At present, Huawei has donated all the basic capabilities of HarmonyOS.

In other words, major domestic manufacturers can get the source code from the Open Atomic Open Source Foundation, and then polish their products according to their own business needs, and most users are embracing HarmonyOS, so why do major manufacturers still choose to lose their voices in this situation?

According to the news from Huawei, it is imperative to vigorously promote the ecological construction of OS in HarmonyOS, because the plan of 16% market share is not easy, so HarmonyOS needs support at this time. But since the release of HarmonyOS, only two mobile phone manufacturers, Glory and Meizu, have made statements.

The former indicates that it will cooperate with Huawei to update the system dimension for the time being, and the later plans will depend on the open source speed of HarmonyOS OS. Although the latter indicates that it is connected to HarmonyOS, it is only limited to Internet of Things devices. In addition to silence, other mobile phone manufacturers even made some "jokes". For example, a former public relations officer of OPPO spoke ill of Huawei and eventually resigned.

There are many reasons for this situation, each of which seems small, but it will take time to solve it.

First of all, Huawei still has a mobile phone business, which makes the major manufacturers still have a competitive relationship, and everyone is worried about each other, so it is a good policy to temporarily choose a more secure Android.

At present, the OS system in HarmonyOS is still immature, and its integration is still in the initial stage of application ecological construction, which still has a certain gap with Android, which has millions of APP levels. The second is the stability and cost of adaptation, which is also an important issue for many manufacturers.

Furthermore, although HarmonyOS OS has been open source, it has not been open source for larger memory devices at present, because it is still open source for memory devices below 128MB, and it will take some time for devices with more than 4G memory to be open source, so we can't take it for granted that domestic manufacturers are unwilling to support HarmonyOS.

Finally, major manufacturers have been designing UI based on Android system for many years, which not only consumes a lot of effort, but also cultivates some loyal users. As a mobile phone manufacturer, we must consider for our own consumers. As for how to choose and balance, we can't worry about it.
