Brilliant thousand-day sunshine-Lila

I went to the library at the weekend, just happened to see the paper version of this book, so I borrowed it home. Paper books are better to read.

In the second part, the author begins to introduce Laila, another important woman in the novel.

Laila is different from Mariam. She grew up in a happy and loving environment. She was told that you should do what you want. Dad spent a lot of time educating her and taking her to see the Bamiyan Buddha which was later bombed by the Taliban.

Dad attaches great importance to Lila's school education and teaches her a lot about life. I have always been a father, because my mother is immersed in the thoughts of her two sons, and she is basically left alone.

Lila has a childhood friend named Tariq. When the situation in Kabul was very bad, the Tariq family fled and moved away. They really wanted to take her with them.

But Lila knew mom wouldn't leave. Dad won't leave until mom leaves, and mom doesn't want to leave them.

She bid farewell to Tariq, which was unbearable and unforgettable.

A few days later, Laila was passed through the gate of the yard by a stray bullet. Although she was not hurt, she looked at the hole in the door and thought about all kinds of terrible consequences. They finally decided to escape.

Just as they were packing their things to sell some travelling expenses, their home was unfortunately hit by a rocket. Mom and dad died, and Lila was seriously injured.

Laila, who was seriously injured, was rescued by Rashid, and Mariam has been taking good care of her.

When Lila recovered almost, a stranger came to visit and told Lila a story. At the end of the story, a young man named Tariq was killed.

Laila was disheartened. Rashid proposed to her, and she found herself pregnant again. In this way, Laila, who was mistaken for being under 20 years old, married Rasheed, who was nearly 60 years old, and Mariam and Laila began a new stage of serving her husband together.
