Appreciation of American Literature: Breakfast of Zhang Shucheng

I have lived in Canada for more than ten years. I am very familiar with the streets here. Where there is a brightly lit hotel and a delicious snack city, I know it clearly in my heart, and I can explain it. I am a working class, and I have never been to a hotel, but after all, I seldom go there. The most frequent places I go are the snack city and the snack bar across the street. Spend a dozen dollars or a few dollars, walk quietly alone, eat quietly and go home, carefree and unrestrained. This is also a kind of life and a kind of fun. Habit becomes nature, and others feel uncomfortable and dislike it. This is in line with my habit-I like quiet, leisurely and simple food, because I am human.

I live on the mobile road, and the snack street is in the north. There are many kinds of breakfasts here, so you can eat whatever you want-Indian flying cake, Xinjiang nang cake, Daoxiao Noodles in Shanxi, Sichuan Mala Tang, Yang Shan mutton bread in soup, Lamian Noodles in Lanzhou, Huizhou cuisine in Shangzhou, beef noodles with Feng Danniu, stir-fried in Luonan, and big dough twists, bean curd, and hard-faced pot kui with unknown origin ... just like heaven. Watching diners chew with relish is really a kind of enjoyment, a kind of happiness, an art, and an appetite follows. The saliva swirled in my mouth, and I accidentally "slipped" out of my mouth, causing jokes from people around me, with a passive smile on my face, but my heart was full of taste? After all, it is rude!

I come from this village. I am used to cooking sweet potatoes with rice soup from snacks. I'd better eat thick soup or noodle soup. People's appetite and memory are very strong, and the food they like to eat when they were young goes deep into the bone marrow, which is really difficult to change. Breakfast in the snack street is often a bowl of sauerkraut and watercress soup. The paste soup is cooked well, sticky and bright yellow. The red beans or mung beans cooked inside are full of particles, bright in color, durable and delicious. Pepper, coriander, chopped green onion, and some shredded radish, which I liked before eating. The seller of this breakfast is from Luonan: a man in his forties, with a flat face, a hijab and a simple and honest smile, makes people feel honest; The woman looks young and capable, and she is also smiling and tidy. The two of them cooperated tacitly, one scooped rice with a shovel, the other scooped sauerkraut with a spoon, and the people who ate lined up in a long line, but they all waited patiently for a bowl of comfortable rice and a bowl of delicious home-cooked rice.

I like to eat more rice, and sometimes I want to change my taste. For a while, I changed the variety of breakfast and often went to eat steamed dumplings and porridge in the northern stalls. Steamed dumplings are wrapped in leek bean curd, green and white, poured with vinegar, garlic and water, and smeared with Chili oil. Take a bite, and a fragrance permeates your mouth. Jiaozi's daughter-in-law carries a bowl of porridge, and a small dish carries chopsticks, pickles or crispy pickled radish. I don't care about this. I picked up chopsticks, ate a jiaozi, and then took a bite of porridge.

Sometimes I get up late and get lazy, so I go to the snack bar in front of my house to eat pancakes. This small shop is small in appearance, but it is often full of diners. There are cold dishes, sheep blood, spicy, three fresh. I have a strong sense of taste. Often ask for a bowl of sheep blood buckwheat. Chili powder makes it reddish, sheep blood should be cut into filaments, which is ochre red, fried noodles are pale yellow, plus some vegetables, bean sprouts, chopped green onion and so on.

In Zhoucheng, many families are in trouble in the morning, and the family eats breakfast outside. Most people will choose their favorite or familiar booths, wipe their mouths after eating, and rush to their jobs with great interest to start their day's work and life. Rich breakfast gives people a good mood and adds new bright colors to life. I feel very satisfied and comfortable in this torrent of breakfast. We should be grateful, cherish and satisfy that we live in this era-this day is beyond my dreams!
