What do you mean by "shaking clothes"?
Eight epic poems sung by Zuo Si in Jin Dynasty (5)
The sky is bright and comfortable, and the spirit shines in China.
In the purple palace of Zhufu, flying like Yunfu.
In halls, all princes are nobles.
Since you are not a dragon climber, what is a tour?
When you are brown, you will follow the leader.
Trembling clothes, Wan Li flow.
Translation:
The clear sky and dazzling sunshine shine on the land of China.
Rows of towering buildings in the Royal Palace of Luoyang City have cornices like clouds.
In the hall, there are many princes.
I'm not a man who follows the emperor for promotion. Why did you suddenly visit here?
Wearing coarse clothes, I walked out of the door and strode to catch up with Xu You.
Because life in the capital is dirty, I wear clothes, stand on tiptoe, remove dust and filth.
Creation background
Eight Poems of Ode to Epics was written in Zuo Si's early years, and it is difficult to determine the specific time of its completion. Judging from the information provided in the poem, it can be said that Zuo Si entered Luoyang shortly before the Jin Dynasty destroyed Wu. Zuo Si's life in Luoyang and the special feelings formed by this life are written in poems. Zuo Si came to Luoyang with his family because his sister Juicy Zuo was elected to the palace.
In the first year of Emperor Wudi's Taishi (273), Emperor Wudi selected virgins of civil and military officials at or above the corresponding level to enter the palace, and in the following year, he selected 5,000 virgins of lower-level civil and military officials and ordinary gentry to enter the palace. Zuo Si's father is a consultant in the temple. Zuo Si entered Luoyang, and it can be roughly concluded that it was after the first year of Taishi (273).
Zuo Si came to Luoyang mainly to show his skills in order to achieve a smooth career and pave the way for realizing his political thoughts, but the result was not ideal. Zuo Si learned about the political corruption of the Jin Dynasty from all kinds of ups and downs and difficulties in his official career, which was reflected in Eight Poems on Historical Poems.
These poems cannot be said to have been written by Zuo Si after living in Luoyang for a long time. There is a saying in the poem, "If there is no Wu Dong, there will be no ambition" (the first sentence). In the first year of Taikang (280), Wu Dong was destroyed in Jin Dynasty, and Eight Poems of Poetry were written before the first year of Taikang (280).
