There are runways on both sides of the provincial highways for farmers to practice long-distance running. The cement-hardened path leads directly to the rural courtyard. Flowers and trees are planted on both sides of each road, as if there are blooming flowers everywhere in spring. Both sides of the river are covered with cement modules, and willows linger on both sides. The river water is clean, and each river channel is managed by a dedicated river chief. Each rural bridge has been demolished and rebuilt twice, becoming stronger and wider. The greening is specially designed and is no longer messy. Therefore, the freshness and vastness of the countryside is unmatched by the city.

In terms of living standards, vegetables in rural areas are much cheaper than in cities. Internet e-commerce shopping is very convenient. Some farmers themselves often buy various small commodities, seafood, electrical appliances, fruits, and even surprisingly What's interesting is that some vegetables that are not commonly grown in rural areas are also purchased online by people in order to taste them fresh. Nowadays, farmers in rural areas no longer have the image of mud-legged people, and farmers do not have agricultural tools such as plows. Why? The old emperor's calendar has been used for more than 20 years. Tractors are used to plow fields, excavators are used to dig trenches and rivers, rice transplanters are used to transplant rice, and harvesters are used to harvest... They are basically all mechanized agricultural production. Nowadays, many old farmers in their 70s and 80s use smartphones too much.

Therefore, retiring in rural areas is a very good choice. Why?

First, they are basically available in cities as well as in rural areas. Some people say that it is inconvenient to go to the hospital. In fact, it is an exaggeration. Nowadays, we have established a one-hour living circle, with high-speed rail and highways extending in all directions. It is basically only a 30-minute drive from the township to the top tertiary hospital in the county. The longest drive from the county to the provincial capital is three hours, and most of them are within a two-hour drive. These allow patients to receive timely treatment.

Second, the living area in rural areas is generally larger than that in cities. A family in the city usually has a living area of ??about 100 square meters, while an average family in the countryside has a living area of ??200 square meters.

Third, rural areas are relatively peaceful and quiet. Because of the massive outflow of rural people, the population is smaller.

Fourth, after the construction of new rural areas, the environment is relatively beautiful and the degree of livability is relatively high. Life is quite convenient.

Fifth, the consumption level in rural areas is lower than that in cities. Housing prices are only one-tenth of the city. Vegetables are relatively cheaper by a third. Cemeteries are a fifth cheaper.

Sixth, due to the good vegetation, the air in rural areas is relatively fresh, unlike the air in cities that is a bit polluted.

Seventh, safety conditions are well guaranteed. Nowadays, not to mention major accidents, even petty thefts are rare in rural areas. Why, every intersection and every village group has surveillance cameras.

These advantages show that it is indeed better to retire in rural areas. We have many retirees in Shanghai who buy houses of 200 to 300 square meters, retire here, and die here.

Where to retire depends on each person’s situation.

Rural areas are close to towns, have convenient transportation, good living facilities, and the atmosphere in the village is not too bad. Of course, tourists can go back to live in rural areas after retirement. After all, the air in rural areas is better than that in cities, and there are always some fruits and vegetables. It's relatively fresh, and it's convenient for your children to look at you.

But if it is far from the town, the transportation is not that convenient, the water supply and drainage in the village is not very convenient, especially if the customs are not good, there is no need to live in the countryside, because you are in Not to mention all the inconveniences you will encounter there, all kinds of troubles will come one after another, making you feel unhappy.

There is another reference system here, which is how much contact you have with your hometown while you are working. If you are familiar with it, you can live there. If you have not had much contact for decades, things have changed and people have changed. What does it mean to go back to your hometown? That's a big discount.

As for the fact that cemeteries are cheap, I think it is true, but you don’t need to think too much about that. I personally think that we should retire in the city, not in the countryside. My point of view is what will happen to people’s physical condition when they get old? This first depends on your physical condition. If your physical condition is good, then it is a good place to retire in the countryside.
