Calligraphy, why should the last stroke of this word be written as a horizontal tick?

In calligraphy, this is called "drawing belt" or "reflecting belt". The pen meaning between the upper and lower words echoes. Only running script or cursive script.

The ancients usually wrote vertically. Often, when the last stroke of a word is finished, the pen tip moves towards the first stroke of the next word, and when it is written quickly, it will be brought out to the lower left, showing the shape of a "hook". Some are involved in fine lines, which are called "ties". The three words in the picture below are all related to each other:

One more thing: If you write from left to right and the last stroke of a word between them is also tied to the lower left, it will make a joke.
