Definition of ROM

ROM is the abbreviation of ROM image, which is often used in the circle of mobile phone customization system players.

ROM in smart phone configuration refers to EEProm, which is similar to the hard disk of a computer. Generally speaking, the process of mobile phone brushing is the process of writing ROM image into ROM.

Common ROM image formats include img and zip. The former usually uses fastboot program to swipe the card through the data line (line brush), while the latter uses recovery mode to swipe the card from sd (card brush). Fixed img images are also called line brush packages, and zip images are also called card brush packages.

Because ROM image is the most common release form of customized system, players usually use the word ROM to refer to the operating system of mobile phones.

Domestic custom system developers often fall into the debate about whether their products should be called OS or UI. In order to avoid such an argument and show modesty, they will call themselves ROM. Many customized system players will also refer to the customized system as ROM.

Because the system source code needs to be packaged as an image, ROM will also be called a "package".
