In the bamboo forest in the yard, several unknown little birds hatched out of their nests and flew away.

I live in an old house in the countryside. It was raining a few days ago. I was in the courtyard before evening and saw a little bird under the bamboo forest. It was struggling to start flying but couldn't.

I was surprised to realize that this was a little bird that had just emerged from the nest. There is a bird's nest in the courtyard.

Because the courtyard walls around the country house are not low, birds cannot fly yet and can only come from the courtyard.

Besides, I had this experience two years ago. I also wrote essays and published them in "Tonight's Supplement".

I was afraid that the young bird would not be able to withstand the rain, so I caught it, put it in a cardboard box with ventilation holes, and put water and rice on it, hoping to raise it and let it fly.

Unexpectedly, it didn't matter if the little bird entered the house, it attracted several adult birds outside, who were suspected to be parents and elders, flying and swooping in the yard, screaming non-stop. When the bird heard the call, it chirped irritably in response.

I realized that I might be "having bad intentions with good intentions" - this creature is a product of survival in the wild. No matter how windy or rainy it is, I just put it under the bamboo forest and let it go. !

After that, the little bird burrowed into the flowers, and the chirping of the adult bird calmed down for the time being.

It rained all night, and I was still thinking about the fate of that little bird.

Because, for this kind of bird whose name I don’t know, the length of the head and tail of the adult bird is only 10 centimeters, while the length of the young bird is only five or six centimeters, which is too small.

But when I passed by the pond under the forest in the courtyard the next morning (for the safety of my grandson, this underground pond has not been filled with water in recent years), I actually found three baby birds standing side by side at the bottom of the pond.

I quickly took out my phone to take a photo, but one bird ran away, and I only captured a "virtual picture" of two birds (see the picture above).

In the next two days, in the yard, adult birds were flying above and young birds were jumping around on the ground. It was the adult birds that were "teaching" the young birds to practice flying!

I accidentally discovered that two baby birds flew under the eaves of the old house in the front house. Quietly, I quickly took a picture. This time it was clear (see the upper middle part of the picture above), but I didn't see the "three birds standing side by side" again.

The baby birds are practicing flying around in the bamboo forest, flowers and cucumber stands in the courtyard, and they are almost ready to fly in the courtyard.

I captured one on a cucumber stand, but I wonder if it was the "third bird" (see picture above).

In the bamboo forest, under the kiwi fruit stand, I could not see the small bird's nest due to the dense vegetation.

Later, there were no more unknown sounds in the yard - the chirping of adult birds and young birds must have flown away to go wild.

But they will definitely remember that my home is also their home, and that I am a kind-hearted owner.

Over sixty years old, retired at home. My "bird of youth" is gone and never comes back, but the lotus flowers in the courtyard are still blooming.
