Which is better, Nikon D5300 or Canon 70D?

Nikon D5300 is an entry-level machine.

Canon 70D is a mid-range machine.

Not in the same class.

I've never used a SLR. If I buy it back, there will be many things I won't.

You must learn photography.

Going out to shoot is always P (fool mode), and people will laugh at you, behind your back, of course.
