How did the wine bug form?

Wine Bug is a short story in classical Chinese written by Pu Songling, a novelist in Qing Dynasty.

This kind of wine bug has never been reported in medicine, but there are many folklore like this. In Pu Songling's Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio, there is a story about an alcoholic, saying that Liu of Changshan was addicted to alcohol and was later "lured" by a monk.

"Red meat is two inches long, squirming like a fish, and both the mouth and eyes are prepared." In fact, we didn't see the drunkards and gluttons mentioned by the people, but they were handed down as jokes and folklore.

Story:

After a while, Liu felt hot and thirsty and wanted to drink water. Smell the smell of wine, the fire burns upward, and the wine tastes bad. Suddenly I felt an itch in my throat. Wow, I threw up something and fell straight into the wine basin. When I untied my hands and feet, I saw a piece of red meat more than three inches long, wriggling like a fish, with a mouth and eyes.

Liu thanked the monk in horror and gave him money. The monk refused to accept it and asked for a wine bug. Liu asked him, "Why?" The monk replied, "It is the essence of wine. If you put water in an urn and stir the worms, it will become good wine. " Liu asked the monks to experiment, and it really happened.
