Couplet story 078-Jiayu bird brick is dead; Mr. Si Tong, coarse-haired beast

Before Pu Songling wrote Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio, he was a famous genius in the village. There was a squire named Shi who refused to accept Pu Songling's talent and wanted to compete with him. On this day, they met. Shi Taigong saw a chicken dead behind the brick wall, so he made a couplet for Pu Songling:

The fine-feathered bird died behind the brick.

After hearing this, Pu Songling is ruining my young man! I have to give him some color to see see He pretended to be incompetent and said, "I can't match." Since Taigong forced me to be right, I watched it word for word and asked Taigong to record it for me word for word, otherwise I would forget it myself in the future. "squire stone almost burst out laughing: every sentence is reasonable, maybe something will happen! He readily agreed. Pu Songling is smarter than a fool, and solemnly said that Shi Taigong gloated and solemnly remembered-

"coarse to fine, ok?" "ok." Write a "rough".

"Mao is right, ok?" "ok." Write a "Mao".

"How about going wild at home?" "ok." Write a "wild"

"Animals are birds, okay?" "ok." Remember a "beast".

"Stone becomes brick, ok?" "ok." Write a "Stone".

"First, then, ok?" "ok." Write a "first".

"Life is death, okay?" "ok." Remember a "life".

"It's over, you read it."

Master Shi took it and read: Mr. Shi, coarse-haired beast.

Just after reading it, I found that I abused myself with the homonym of "Sir" and "Taigong", and I suddenly blushed and admitted that I was unlucky. From then on, I never dared to compare with Pu Songling.

Folk stories often have multiple versions. The same story is grafted on different celebrities, and there are also Ji Xiaolan versions.

The story of Ji Xiaolan.

Ji Xiaolan, a litterateur in Qing Dynasty, was clever and studious since childhood. His private school teacher Mr. Shi is an old pedant. One day, Xiaolan went to feed the housebird, dug a deep hole in the brick wall, fed the housebird and sent it back to the hole, blocked it with bricks to prevent it from flying away. Later, when Mr. Shi found out, he threw the house finch to death, sent it back to the cave to block it, and put a couplet on the wall:

The fine-feathered bird died behind the brick.

When Xiaolan went to feed the house bird again, she found it was dead. I was wondering when I suddenly saw a couplet on the wall. He decided that Mr. Shi did it, so he continued to write the second couplet:

Mr. Si Tong, coarse-haired beast

After seeing this, Mr. Shi was greatly annoyed and asked with a pointer in his hand. Xiaolan calmly explained: "I wrote it according to my husband's first couplet." If there is fineness, there must be roughness; Feather must have hair; Where there is a home, there must be a wild place; Where there are birds, there must be beasts; Where there are bricks, there must be stones; After, there must be first; Where there is death, there is death. Therefore, I wrote' Mr. Si Tong, a coarse-haired beast'. If you don't think you should write like this, please correct me! "

Teacher Shi twisted his beard and thought for a long time, but he didn't come up with a satisfactory bottom line. Finally, he sighed helplessly, put down his pointer and left.
