How about the third edition of advanced programming in UNIX environment?

The teacher recommended this book as a reference book when learning operating system courses. This is indeed a very comprehensive book. Many things about UNIX operating system are mentioned, and the key functions are also explained in detail. Moreover, the language used by the author is easy to understand and not blunt, which will make you feel suddenly enlightened from time to time. However, because this book is too detailed, it is not recommended for some amateurs to read it (unless you are a hardcore amateur, of course). This book is as useful as a dictionary for those who program with UNIX. PS: I bought a copy ... I don't understand the joke on the cover. ...
