The conference released the research results of China's carbon dioxide emission peak before 2030, carbon neutrality before 2060, energy and power development plan in 2030 and prospect in 2060, and put forward a systematic scheme to achieve carbon emission reduction targets by building China Energy Internet for the first time in China.

In the second stage, decarbonization will be accelerated from 2030 to 2050. The third stage is to be completely neutral from 2050 to 2060, and strive to achieve zero carbon emissions in the whole society around 2055 and achieve the goal of carbon neutrality before 2060.

The report also points out that the marginal cost of carbon emission reduction in the whole society is about 260 yuan/ton, which is far lower than 700 yuan/ton of other global emission reduction schemes.
