3. New Year's Eve

The third day of New Year's Day is called Xiaonianchao, also called Red Dog Day. Legend has it that the red dog is the god of anger, and people who meet him will be unlucky, so the third day is an unlucky day and it is not suitable for going out. It is said that people will quarrel with them on the third day of New Year's greetings, so they don't pay New Year's greetings. People in China regard the third day of the first month as Xiaomi's birthday. On this day, they hope to sacrifice and pray for the new year. They don't eat rice.
