Nanyang, Xinyang, Zhumadian: There is no reason to call us "three poor in southern Henan"!

Henan Province is located in the middle and east of China. Like other places in China, since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the economic development in different parts of Henan Province has been unbalanced. Northern Henan and Zhengbianluo areas have a good industrial base and policy inclination. Coupled with the dense population and the coverage of the provincial capital economic circle, it used to be the vanguard of Henan's economic development. Looking back at southern Henan, although the territory is vast, agricultural cultivation has long occupied a dominant position, and the development of industry and commerce has lagged behind for a long time, so it was once dubbed as "three poverty in southern Henan". But now, this discriminatory nickname should have become history and the past.

Among the four civil airports that have been opened to traffic in Henan, South Henan accounts for two, namely Nanyang Jiang Ying Airport and Xinyang Minggang Airport, which objectively reflects that the aviation industry in South Henan is ahead of most parts of the province, and the demand for business travel in South Henan is far greater than that in most parts of the province. In addition, the aviation industry can also promote personnel exchanges and economic development, and increase local employment and income.

South Henan's total economic output (GDP) is at the upper-middle level in the whole province. Taking the economic data of 20 19 as an example, the economic aggregates of Nanyang, Xinyang and Zhumadian are 381500 million yuan, 275.8 billion yuan and 274.2 billion yuan respectively, ranking third, ninth and tenth among the eight provincial cities in the province.

South Henan is the region with the richest and largest water resources reserves in Henan Province. Water is an indispensable and important resource for industrial and agricultural production. South Henan is the only one of the five regions in Henan Province that is not short of water, and its huge water resources reserves are enough to provide strong support for the economic development and take-off of the three cities in South Henan.

The three cities in southern Henan have the largest land resources in the province. The land areas of Nanyang, Xinyang and Zhumadian are 26,509 square kilometers,/kloc-0.8 million square kilometers and/kloc-0.5 million square kilometers respectively, ranking first, second and fourth in the province. The vast land area means that there must be more and richer natural resources here.

Southern Henan is the most advantageous region in Henan. Most of the three cities in southern Henan belong to the north subtropical monsoon climate, with superior hydrothermal conditions. It is the region with the richest animal and plant resources and the richest crop diversity in our province, which is suitable for the growth of wheat, rice, citrus, apples, sugarcane and other crops in the north and south.

South Henan is ahead of the whole province in so many resources, so it should not and will not fall behind!
