Why are there so many jokes about the profession of "programmer"?

Idealists, perfectionists, dedicated workers, technocrats, self-mockers, paranoia and so on. It is possible to concentrate all these symbols on one occupation, so it must be a programmer. I have been a programmer for many years, and my love for the work of programmers is heartfelt. Maybe my career can really change a person. Just like when I first joined the work, I didn't understand that an old expert worked on the printer until evening 12, and then finished it as happy as a child. I understand now, this is a programmer!
