An interesting joke about asking for directions.

In ancient times, there was a scholar who went out for a year and came back the next year. He said to his wife, "You are lonely at home alone. Don't you have any contact with your neighbors?" The wife said, "I haven't been out since you left." The scholar sighed and asked, "How do you entertain yourself?" The wife said, "Sometimes it's just a poem." The scholar is glad to let his wife read this poem. He opened it and the first one read: "Moonlight invites neighbors to gossip."
