After chyme enters the duodenum from the stomach, it begins to digest in the small intestine, which is the most important stage in the whole digestion process. In the kitchen, chyme is chemically digested by pancreatic juice, bile and small intestine fluid, and mechanically digested by small intestine movement. Many nutrients are also absorbed into the body in this part. So the food passes through the small intestine and the digestion process is basically completed. Undigested food residues enter the intestine from the small intestine.
